clinching is part of boxing. clinching is letting go per ref's instructions.

holding is ignoring the ref and just holding on

No he dosent beat Juan Diaz, diaz is a damn complete fighter.Gets hit too much?! Hardly, show me that fight were juan diaz took a bruising to the face.

EDIT: I meant he ONLY beats corrales if corrales is wrecked like you say he is.

I think youre forgetting Freitas deserved to lose tonight homie.

      hombre.

We haven't seen Diaz fight anyone outside of a couple of game, B level at best opponents in Sim and Cotto. Jose is not his brother, and if he would have carried a better punch he would have had Diaz in bad shape. Diaz is hittable...saying he is anything less is blasphemy. Dude took a lot of punches against Sim and Cotto. Sure he's getting better at slipping punches on the inside and such, but that ain't gonna happen when he fights a guy who possesses the handspeed that Freitas brings.

Freitas deserved to lose? If anyone deserved to lose it was Raheem fighting like a ****ing amateur. Freitas came to fight and he got the nod in a CLOSE fight that really could have gone either way. Again, I had the fight a draw so it's not like I was pulling for Acelino here.

I'm telling you...Juan Diaz would be schooled badly by any top lightweight. The kid is exciting to watch...and overachieves like a mother****er...but he'll get smoked when he steps up.

Because it really wasn't that long ago that he was KOing 29 opponents in a row.

Stopped Barrios, stopped Ramirez, stopped Juaregui...the guy can crack. Even though he hasn't stopped a top guy in a couple of years it's hard to believe that his punch has just magically left him.

His style is less puncher...more boxer now, but he still shows flashes of big time power when he plants and throws that quick right hand.

Accept it.He hasnt gotten a significant KO at this weight class.Couple that with Zahir Ruiz's ****ed up balance and his still in question chin, and he couldnt score a clean KD.

Its not just that he beat the B level Cotto,he ****ing dominated.Granted,Cotto probably hits about as hard as freitas does now(yeah...let that sink in)BUt it was still a very good win.

Me and you will be betting some bigass points in Diaz's step up fight, sir.

No shame in that....Raheem is a pretty slick guy. Hard to tag cleanly as he rolls away from a lot of shots. Freitas still hit him with some good rights. Diaz has NOWHERE NEAR Raheems defensive ability. Freitas would be hitting Diaz with a lot of power shots. Raheem didn't like the right hand and neiother would Diaz.

Wake me up when Jose Cotto knocks out a guy like Jorge Barrios, Javier Juaregui or anyone else I may have ever heard of before.

              Why certainly Mr. Mech.
