it was just a money grab for both. i didn't mind the fight. just wasn't recognizing it as his 50th. floyd should fight danny garcia or stay retired.

Basically this. I didn't mind it, i wasn't going to take it seriously as a boxing match but if they could have made it happen then they would be ****** to turn it down.

Anyway, Floyd should just stay retired. There's really nobody below middleweight he can beat that he'll get any credit for. I think he'll fight Garcia, get a nice payday and his 50th and retire. Anybody that was saying "he needs to come back and fight Thurman or Garcia" will be the ones saying they were nobodies after he beat them, that Thurman never beat anyone and Garcia should already have 2 losses to Peterson and Herrera etc. etc.

If he's going to fight though, it will be Garcia.

Fight was never alive in the first place. Just an example of two fighters playing the media to get a bit of exposure: people forgot that Conor got his ass beaten and Mayweather's name remained in the headlines after retirement.

God is real y'all. He got TBE's back just like me. Conor would've knocked Floyd out cold with a body shot. TBE ain't got nothing to prove by fighting some undefeated beast that would've left him with permanent damage to his rib cage.

There was talk about a group of investors buying the UFC, imagine if Floyd was one of them and was doing this to whole time to make more money. Glad the fight isn't happen especially after a loss.

I feel bad for these UFC cats. Lord Dana White controls everything and won't let them fight for what they are worth. All it is going to take is a guy with Mcgregor like appeal to realize they don't need the UFC brand and go out on there own.
The fight between Floyd and Connor would have been a pointless exhibition as a boxing match but I don't fault Mcgregor for listening. He would have likely made more money than he would in 5 years in the UFC even with Mayweather controlling the promotion.
