    Nobody ever thought it was going to happen, but for whatever reason retired former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. was pushing the idea of a September fight with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

                  floyd trying to cash out with a person with no boxing experience failed. I'm a mayweather fan but I am happy this fell through.

                                      it was just a money grab for both. i didn't mind the fight. just wasn't recognizing it as his 50th. floyd should fight danny garcia or stay retired.
