    This thread started off well then went down hill very fast.

    Respect to all who lace up the gloves. When i first did sparring, my respect level for fighters went up 1000%. They are a unique breed.

          Shame I didn't become a fan of boxing earlier, I might have pursued it as a profession. But I turn 29 this year and I haven't had a single second of training. Oh well. Can't imagine myself in shorts with boxing gloves on anyhow lol.

              Fighters don't think about pain. They think about inflicting pain. Some of you have felt and experienced it at a young age. When you get punched in a fight you don't think about the pain and getting punched more, you think about getting even.

                I guess it has to do with the nature of the fighter. Take a guy like Kovalev for example. The guy is a sadist, likes punishing opponents, will fight you on your hometown, and doesn't get mad when he is shortchanged for money. The guy just wants a fight.
