Some German scientist named Blumenbach found a skull in Georgia which is a country in South Caucasus, and started considering that skull to be the perfect example of how European skull supposed to look like
"While he looked at a lot of physical traits to carve out his categories, Blumenbach thought characteristics of the skull—the size and angle of the forehead, jawbone, teeth, eye sockets, etc.—were especially important. He thought that the skulls of Georgians were exemplary of the characteristics of his white race and named the group after the Caucasus Mountain Range that runs along Georgia’s northern border."
He made up the term "Caucasian" to describe all people of European descent, US and The Western world accepted the term
Russia don't use the term "Caucasians" to describe all people of European descent for obvious reasons - there's a lot of ACTUAL ethnic groups from Caucasus living in Russia, and they have their own mutual culture
Even from religious point of view, they don't have nothing in common with most of Europeans - most of actual Caucasians are ******s
