B.S.you avoided my questions. ward went to 175 becuase GGG avoided him at 168, wanted him at 164 lol and everyone gives canelo crap for catchweights.
****** new school boxingscene boys, you guys dont know **** about boxing. i bet 95 percent of the people on this forum did not watch boxing ten years ago but will claim you guys are long time fans and know it all. you guys dont know **** thats why your only arguement is ducking ducking ducking
Ward signed the HBO deal to fight 3 times at 175 on his own volition...no one twisted his arm...no one said he had to go up to 175. He could have simply stayed at 168 & "truly" cleaned out the division...waited for GGG to become available in-between...or perhaps 1 of those 3 fights could have been against GGG. You can't tell me 3 fights against Dirrell, Bute (or GGG), then DeGale wouldn't be more entertaining than the tune-ups he's fighting right now. If Ward truly wanted GGG as his opponent at 168, he should have stayed at 168. He lost any credence to talk shyt about GGG when he signed that HBO contract. You don't have a leg to stand on here. Look at the logic. Ward stopped that fight from happening. GGG didn't force him to go up to 175...he chose it. It doesn't matter what GGG was doing. Ward was the one who put a huge obstacle in front of the fight by signing that contract. Which means your argument is null & void.
Please don't be ****** enough to believe the fanboys'/fangirls' propaganda. If you're a true boxing fan, then it's easy to get all the factual information you need. Deal in facts, & you will not be made a fool. Now though we know you're a fool because you don't even know what ducking is. Ducking only happens when the guy fights in your weight division. GGG didn't duck Ward, & Ward didn't duck GGG..it was a potential bout that was never made. If Canelo doesn't fight GGG next, that's a duck. So go back to trolling, because I can see from 4 other guys that are commenting at you that you are totally wrong. You are the last vestiges of an old & outdated way of thinking...either shape up, or ship out.
I invited you to watch the video HBO buildup for the GGG/Rosado fight, where GGG meets Ward for the first time. Go watch it. Watch what happens when they meet for the first time...& you tell me, tell me what GGG says to Ward & what Ward said in response. You come back & tell me. Then we'll see how much of a boxing fan you are.Comment

You do realize that GGG refused the 155 Caneloweight because of the title right? It's called principles. GGG's got em. He wanted to respect what the belt represented: 160. Now you'll argue that there's no belt to fight for since Canelo vacated the WBC belt. You're wrong. Canelo still holds the Lineal MW title. So, until he drops that last belt, he's still a MW carrying on a charade of being a small fighter. You do know that Canelo drains 5 extra lbs. for no reason, right? You do realize that 155 isn't a weight division, right? You do realize that it seems too much of a coincidence that GBP would go ahead with a court case now during what should be a very important negotiation time with GGG's team right? Bringing up the weight when Canelo is clearly trying every tactic in the book to not have to fight GGG "right now" is just too painfully obvious. What do you have against GGG? The guy is clearly a deserving champion who is so good that he scares everyone into excuses. Why are you making excuses for these fighters?Comment

You want me to answer your questions?...fine.
1 fighter that GGG fought that is on the level of Lara or Cotto or Trout?...I already named them: Murray & Lemeiux. Lara is not perfect...neither is Trout. And it's not like Cotto succeeded in his biggest matches either. That puts all these guys in the same boat. If you're going to say that Cotto is the biggest Puerto Rican fighter in the world, I will argue that Lemeiux is among the biggest Canadian fighters in the world. If you're talking boxing skill, Lara is probably the best in the group. But he didn't get the win against Canelo either. That basically makes resume-comparing a dead-end exercise.
Name one?...I just named 2.
The one excuse GGG critics will want to point to is that GGG hasn't fought anyone. We've heard this excuse so many times. But how many boxers have given an excuse to not fight GGG right now? Tell me, boxing fan, how many boxers have given an excuse to not fight GGG right now?Comment

You're only assuming that GGG didn't want to fight Ward at 168. But this is a bad route to go down since none of us know what happened at that negotiation which forced K2 to walk out after 5min...& the video of GGG meeting Ward for the 1st time told me all I needed to know about GGG's intent. Most believe that the reason it wasn't made was because RocNation wasn't there to negotiate...they were there to give their terms. And Ward, an inactive Ward, was in no position to dictate terms. And it's my belief that Ward's team priced themselves out of that fight by demanding the 50/50 at 168. The reason I believe this is because K2 was more than willing to negotiate the details so long as they were fair...but if RocNation was playing hardball by never coming off their terms, then negotiations was never going to take place. You can't negotiate with a rock...hence, walking out on RocNation. This only puts more onus on Ward's team for this bout never being made. See what I did there?...I gave you my detailed reasons. You ask, "so why did he say no to ward at 168...?" To which I respond, because Ward's team was unwilling to negotiate fair terms. Be a boxing fan...don't be a lemming.Comment

You have no points. You make like you're the ultimate boxing fan...but you forget so many details in your arguments that it's a colander. How come you only reply to certain responses of mine, but avoid the responses I wrote in detail which explains my reasoning? You are a selective troll. I gave you reasons why casual fans like you get ripped on boxing websites. You think you know everything & your logic is sound. But it is anything but. Bringing up Ward on a GGG discussion already disqualifies you from the topic. Considering that a potential GGG/Ward fight is a year from now, if ever. But you go on like Ward truly wanted that fight. Like I said before, If Ward truly & verily wanted that fight, he should have stayed at 168. And don't give me that BS about Ward wanting to challenge himself against Kovalev, because no one was saying a damn thing about him fighting Kovalev until the announcement of him signing that HBO contract. Everyone thought he really wanted that GGG fight. But he turned around & pursued Kovalev. To most, it would seem that Ward was just name-dropping GGG to stay relevant. Otherwise, he could have stayed at 168 & continually called out GGG until they caved in & signed on for the fight at 168. But Ward went to 175 instead. Rebuttal?Comment

Liam is a paper belt owner but Canelo wants to come back to 154lb and pick up a belt, this is the easiest fight for him.Comment
