Canelo not fighting a regular MW is no ones fault but Canelos. He had the opportunity fight a regular MW, and chose to fight Khan. He had the opportunity to make such declaration and concession, yet he chose to call GGG into the ring and say he would fight at the full 160.

You may think Canelo deserves an excuse for not fighting a true MW. Does he deserve an excuse for not honoring his word?

As for Martinez the dude was a cyclist before he turn to boxing so of course it took time for him to develop. Whether you agree or not Canelo has improved quite a bit since the Mayweather fight in 2-3 more yrs he will continue to progress then is when he should take the lil G fight.
What about Pipino Cuevas? Wilfred Benitez? Both were shot by 25. You can make individual excuses for each fighter I name but it's ridiculous to objectively state that boxers peak at a certain age.

Yet, given the chance to do exactly that several times he has managed to do so exactly zero times.

And with stardom beckoning him to cut one less pound than his dream fight with Floyd and take the second best payday possible in the entire sport (and his biggest payday by many multiples) he decides to imitate an A side with a guy that has over 3 million more PPV buys than he has been able to get.

      VEEEERRYY intelligent, that.
Was Golovkin lineal champion in either of those divisions? Was he fighting within the weight boundaries of those divisions while saying that? Thought so...

What about Sergio Martinez? Taylor did lose it in one fight but he was still somebody who peaked early. Tyson's prime ended when he lost for the first time (before he went to prison) - he was just worse after he came back. There are many, many more fighters who weren't at their peak at 27/28(Benitez & Cuevas are just two more example). My point stands.

Does Lil G deserve an excuse for not honoring his or do you not remember anyone from 154-168? Of course not Ward or Lara only can appli

Seems to echo the sentiment of every non-GGG diehard. We agree, it sux and its f.ucked up that the top fighters in his division don't wanna fight him. But as a non-heavyweight, that's not an excuse to continue fighting the level of opposition hes been fighting.

Who wanted to see Golovkin Vs. Ward?
I mention the name Ward to people and they've never heard of it, you mention Canelo and GGG they've heard of those names.

Honestly bro your just grasping at straws here... The majority of athletes are at their peaks during 27-32 yrs of age. Canelo is a perfect example of that he has gotten better as he aged in two or three yrs he'll be in his prime then and only then should he fight Lil G now is not the time

                You can't be a 154 fighter if you can't make 154

Canelo can't make 154, so he isn't a 154er. And every guy he listed GGG has at one time approached to fight.

Nope, it's not bias. If you walk around with the MW strap, hydrating more than the avg MW, then fight one. We should look at it for what it is...Canelo was bullying smaller men who can't hurt him - passing it off as "skills". But when he has to fight someone his size...he vacated the belt, stalling. Even pro boxers say and will keep saying Canelo is a big and/or he's a MW.

If he had any intentions of fighting GGG, the Khan fight would have been against a 160lbs and not ANOTHER fighter who ballooned up in weight.

You mean, according to your premise, he should wait until GGG is 6 years past his prime to fight him. So much for Mexicans don't **** around, more like this Mexican wants to only right WW until GGG retired.
