Yes, we need the WBC to come out with their own independent ruling on all this. We've heard from both camps, now the WBC has got to step up and clarify this mess.

All legal & scientific guessing hoo ha aside, Povetkin should either be cleared to fight Wilder in the near future, or serve the required suspension & then schedule to fight Wilder later. No way should this fight be permanently called off if Povetkin meets the requirements.

Their decision probably comes following another VADA declaration about the specific case (or following communications between the WBC and VADA). It hasn't been made clear what exactly this 'investigation' is; Ryabinsky has come forward with a statement that he believes it will take 'a couple of months' or so.

I think it's fair if they reschedule the fight for later this year, and keep the VADA testing going in the meantime, of course.

They di and it was positive. Im almost certain he tried to microdose and got caught

Also I think I read that even though he result was trace it was still a failed cause WADA considers it a fail AFTER March 1 which this was in April and the end of April and after 3 cleared.

I thought microdosing was practiced so that users wouldn't get caught, because the drug would be virtually undetectable within hours?

If there is any legit respectable thing happening with this Povetkin will get suspended for 6+ months & they could potentially put on this fight at the end of the year or around this time next year assuming the WBC keeps his ranking which they may or may not do & the longer the suspension the more likely he loses his ranking.

Yeah would expect that but this whole thing, IMO, is when microdosing goes wrong

I saw that. But does anyone wanna suggest that passing 80% of your PED tests is good enough? For me PED testing is pass/fail. And once you test dirty you failed no matter how many clean tests you have.

Unless you are Mexican meat eater anyway it seems.
