I don't think Chavez Jr still has the market value behind him for a PPV to be good sell anymore. He's not a particularly exciting fighter. We've seen him get outboxed, knocked out, and seen him quit. He's already been embarrassed too many times to really to get any special joy of seeing a spoiled brat get his comeuppance again. That's been done.
I don't see why any boxing fan here would want this fight.
I thought this guy was a light heavy. Personally I think GGG is a bad fight for him. Needs about three to prepare for the likes of a GGG and the competition needs to steadily increase
This fight all depends on the chavez we get. If we get the Chavez from the Andy Lee fight he'll give GGG a fight especially if it's at 168 -- if we get the chavez from Fonfara however it won't last long.
I think he'll need more then just one tune up match to have a chance against GGG. David Lemieux is a better boxer then Chavez Jr and GGG beat him badly. I think he would beat Chavez Jr. worse. Jr has that come forward style which GGG will have a field day with and his footwork is not that great. How will he avoid GGG's power punches if he can't move effectively?

The answer is he won't, and I'm ready to find out!
