I've always liked Chavez jr, but I also have been a harsh critic of his. However, I always liked this match up. People tend to forget how dominant Jr was in the middleweight division, and that's with him not taking training serious. There were times during training camp when he wouldn't even show up. To dominate at the professional level with that type of inconsistency says alot. Sure many of his wins he had a size advantage, but you still need boxing skillz no matter how big you are. At 168 I actually think it's a pretty even fight, anything below that GGG has the edge. Of course this all depends on whether or not Jr's chin is still what it was, because he will take shots.

      Quiet! Mods shut this thread!
His father is my hero! I, grew up in an upper class Orange County community near the beach in the 70's! We were the only family of Mexican decent on our block for years. We were upper middle class went to private schools, dad was a Korean War Vet and belonged to the local VFW post!

Even though we were born in "The OC" we were still brown! After the summer at the beach I was chocolate!

When Chavez became A champion I was able to pronounce to the world I was of Mexican decent! Even though I was "Pocho!"

Initially I hatted "Oscar De La Hoya for destroying my Idol!'

But as time and history passed I learned to respect what Oscar accomplished!

I defended JR for most of his career! All he ever brought me was embarrassment and looking like a fool!

He has all the tools in the shed minus his daddy's heart!
