It's sad but I can guarantee that infinitely more viewers would pay to watch some random footballer take on a faded star than say Ward - Kovalev

Geale did himself no favours with his performances against GGG and Cotto as Australians dont take kindly to running up the white flag and this explains why he is now fighting for a few bucks in a local club

Having said that, he was never a "star" here of the magnitude of say Mundine (who not only brought cross-over appeal from his footy days but was also almost universally hated), Tszyu or especially Fenech

Bleak times for the sport here I'm afraid as there is literally nobody catching the public's imagination

Tszyu??? Did he hate Geale? I still love to this day when he beat the sht out of Judah. Never like Judah after that fight...In Vegas I might add.

We in the states get tired of the sht talkers like Judah and Broner and hate to say it but like GGG's Media Loving Trainer Sanchez. I'm cool and Mexicans LOVE how GGG talks and handles himself. A man of few words. Sanchez talks like he's Ali, Broner, Judah on their WORST sht talking DAY!!! So as you can see why ppl love GGG and HATE what he stands by. It's like a coward hiding behind the cops... Talking sht.

So basically, Canelo can have his pick of EVERY champion from 154-160.

AND, no matter who he selected, they would almost certainly accept.

        wow !
