Clearly you don't know ****. First of all, Pascal is a shot bum. Secondly, Ward has an HBO contract, that means Ward-Stevenson being made is highly unlikely, though not as unlikely as Kovalev who is hiding behind Kathy Duva's skirt and pretending that Stevenson ducking him.Comment

4 no hopers in a row. Golovkin gets absolutely trashed for it, but at last his opponents are top 10 or mandatory opponents, with the exception of the awful Monroe fight.
But this is 4 fighters in a row. Leo Santa Cruz level. Even if you wanna squeeze Williams at the very bottom of the top 10 for an irrelevant win, you'd think after 3 mismatches a big fight would be made.
Fonfara 2, Alvarez, Beterbiev, Shabranskyy, Gonzalez, hell even Braehmer. All of those fights could be made in the past 4 attempts, but instead we get this.
WBC pres came out and explained that it was not Stevenson's fault the fight didn't happen because they did everything to make sure it happened and that Stevenson was on board.
This is the same thing that happened with May-Pac. People complain that Sulaiman is a fraud for letting Floyd defend his 154 title against Maidana in their second fight, but he did that to clear Mayweather's schedule so that the fight of the century can be made with no obstacles in between. He took one for the fans, just like he tried to do for the Stevenson-Kovalev bout.
But fans are so ignorant and hateful that they ignore all these decisions that were made for their sake just so that they can trash a fighter and his association.
Now Stevenson has a mandatory against the unbeaten Alvarez. People are now trashing him for taking this tune up against Williams, but those same people are ignoring the fact that it is actually Alvarez who wanted a tune up before facing Stevenson and not the other way around. Earlier in the year Stevenson made it clear that his plan this year was to fight twice, to defend against Alvarez and to unify with Kovalev. Kovalev again hid behind Duva in negotiations as Duva tried to dictate terms and then pretended she actually tried to 'negotiate' and the fight fell through. Alvarez asked for a tune up and this is where we ended up.Comment

Wbc prez Sulaiman explained recently that the reason Stevenson didn't have mandatories to deal with was because they cleared his schedule so that the Kovalev fight can be made. He said that they even made Kovalev Stevenson's mandatory and ordered the purse bid so that the fight can happen. But guess what, Kathy Duva ducked the purse bid because like most women, she can't stand not having total control of everything and when she don't get it, she goes and cries and plays the victim (to the media in this case).

But this is 4 over matched opponents in a row. That's almost 1 and a half years. Nothing you say here excuses that. Fonfara was willing to fight, and there are plenty of better fighters out there.Comment

I don't know who Williams is but how come Kovalev seems to get better names/fights and Adonis doesn't? I know the division isn't stacked but Kovalev still manage to get some pretty good names on his resume, Adonis on the other hand only had one or two names that you can relate to, this baffles me.Comment
