Stevenson fights in July, before closing out the year with the Alvarez mandatory defense.

With Kovalev-Ward happening in November, the winner of that fight basically has to see Stevenson (Ward takes that fight without waiver, pending the terms, but I doubt Main Events ever takes the risk against Stevenson).

Beterbiev is at least 2-3 fights away from having the shoulder situation made worry-free and get back to being sharp again.

Stevenson has done the most impressive job of delving into obscurity while still winning fights than anyone since Hector Camacho I think. Amazing. I guess he's still popular in Canada doe so good for him.
