Mayweather was a 2 time champion in his own weight division asking Canelo to climb down in weight. You can deny that if you like but even if Mayweather didn't start the trend, he popularised it on a mass scale.

Mayweather is a welter, you silly **** !

Explain the 145lb catchweight for Cotto !

Sounds about fright from CJ. He's a bum. Canelo is actually a star. CJ's dad talks about being constantly embarrassed when his son comes in overweight for fights. He knows it gives him an advantage. Chavez Sr was a WARRIOR. None of this PC sissy age weight ****

Who would want advice from Chavez Jr. Just do the opposite and things will work out better.

But keep living in dream land.

And Oscar was fighting his 2nd fight at middleweight when he fought hopkins

Who do you think Canelo would learn from Oscar his promoter or Floyd a guy he has no ties to

It's actually easier to move up when your older, easier to move down when your younger. Hence why Canelo/GGG are dead set on weights. 5 lbs in either direction puts one in a disadvantage.
