Why does Anthony Joshua get a lot of hate?

I think people accuse him of steroids because he is a major threat to their favourite heavyweight or just envy of his body.

Boxing skill wise he don't get that much hate, just the usual question marks for any upcomer.

Steroids do make you punch harder. Don't twist my words, I'm not saying that if I take steroids I'll be like Mike Tyson. I'm saying if you were to give Mike Tyson steroids and compare how hard he punches before and after, the results would be ridiculous. It will definately make you stronger and be able to punch harder. How hard you punch is also dependent on your technique and more importantly, your speed. They make you faster, therefore you hit harder (Force = Mass x Acceleration)

You're simply comparing fighting styles now. Ali was focused on speed and stamina and he prefered to dodge punches rather than block them. George Foreman as he said himself "I would just swing and even if I didn't hit people, they'd still go down" refering to how hard he could punch.

As I said above, you will punch faster. Therefore, you will punch harder no matter what.

As Vinnykin said, you add the steroids to the technique and if you don't have the technique, you'll still be extremely powerful and hard to knock out.
So you contradicting yourself...ur saying steroids make you more muscular and bulky and yet your saying they also make you faster ? How is that possible ? More bulk per mss equals less speed ....a HGV lorry will have much more powerful impact than a Ferrari over 200 metres but it won't beat the Ferrari in a race over 200 metres lol ...so how do you work that out Einstein ?

"Steroids don't make you punch harder" said no one ever. apparently it's all about technique and steroids can't be added to that technique

What the hell are you Plunger????

He takes the same BBBC drug testing as what fury does and if he passes them then he is clean ....simple as that and untill he's proven otherwise then there's u can say...now if your man fury showed half the dedication in the gym he wouldn't look like this would he

Fury should have spent more time in the gym and less time at Mrs migguns famous pie shop and pigging out.

Vinny you really are some sort of an idiot....so now Joshua has become what he is because he's on steroids and he punches so much harder when he is juiced up ....my god what a fishhead lol...even though he has the same testing as every other boxer in the uk and it's regulated by the BBBC .....

Hate? Far from it... I think he's a specimen of a machine and the real deal.

I like how he's professional, calm and collected, his style, techniques and raw punching power. I believe he would be the dominant force in the heavyweight division the upcoming years

Honestly though, I do think he's on some kind of performance enhancement drugs, but still he is a solid boxer.

I don't even care if Joshua is on drugs, it isn't going to make his footwork or head movement any better.

I was just laughing at your points about Olympic testing and steroids, both demonstratively proven to be wrong and a **** defence on your part. I don't expect any different from you though, a proper mong

You wont get any answers when the question you ask rests on an incorrect assumption.

                AJ gets very little hate.

That was a terrible anaology. You clearly aren't understanding what I'm saying.

You know there's a movie about steroids called "Bigger, Stronger, Faster". Do you know why it's called that? Have a guess. I seriously suggest you watch that movie so someone else can explain to you what I'm doing and I don't have to waste my time.

The steroid will make you faster and stronger. It's not going to make you invincible or something, it's not as if I can take testosterone and beat Usian Bolt in a race. Comparing a lorry to a ferrari is ridiculous.

It's like taking a huge HGV lorry and putting better wheels on it and a more effecient engine. It still weighs the same but it will be far more powerful and faster. You're obviously not going to become faster than someone who weighs half your bodyweight and trains everyday for running, unless you were already close to their speed.

What I'm going to explain next may be difficult for you to understand but bear with me.

Your body is made up of hormones. They're little chemical messengers that are tell the body what to do. When you throw a punch, they tell your brain to throw a punch and the harder you try and throw it, the more powerful it is. However you can only throw the punch so hard. Imagine you were punching a heavy bag as hard as you could in training and then compare that you if someone attacked you on the street and you hit them as hard as you could.

See how there would be more adrenaline (a hormone) in you in the real fight? Therefore you'd be able to hit them harder. Multiply that by 100 and you have what being on steroids is like. Obviously you wouldn't have gloves on but I guarentee you'd hit the guy in the street far harder than you would against a training bag.

A natural person will have difficulty gaining weight and being faster, however when you take steroids you are known as being "enhanced". You are not a normal or natural person anymore. You can literally tell your body what you want it to do in terms of gaining muscle and losing fat.

There are different type of hormones and PEDs. They do different things. You can take one for strength and a different type for speed, therefore you are becoming stronger and faster. Or you can take one that does both.

And of course you can be stronger and faster and gain weight? Usian Bolt is 95KG, do you think he's stronger and faster at 95KG or 60KG? Of course he's stronger and faster at 95KG. When he started to go from 60-95KG he has obviously gotten faster since then, therefore he gained strength, speed and weight.
