I can see it now. Lara would go into survival mode from the opening bell and evade GGG for 12 rounds and if GGG can't get the KO the critics will somehow say that he was "exposed". LOL.

Sort of like Pac/Mosley. Mosley got dropped, went into survival mode for the remainder of the fight, yet somehow Pac was "exposed" despite winning every single round!

or, Lara could move effectively, tire GGG out and win by out boxing him. Then posters like you and pro HBO guys on ESPN will call it "boring" rather than ask why GGG couldn't stop what Lara was doing.

Is that what we're calling "running" nowadays?

Yes if Lara were to run for 12 rounds while barely throwing any punches, it would be called boring. I just dont see him being able to win like that. GGG is better at closing the gap better than anyone Lara has ever faced.

The MW division is what's wrong with boxing. What happened to the days where the objective was to beat the best to become the best?

Oh wait a minute, that's what Lara is doing! Finally, a top 3 fighter wants to get in the ring with GGG....but somehow, this is a bad thing and a very sensitive subject.

Why not ****ing embrace the possibility of this fight instead of making lame excuses as to why it shouldn't happen?

            The excuses are unbelievable!!!

"He doesn't really want the fight"

            Call his ****ing bluff

            "He's Boring"

GGG will force him to fight.

            "I'd rather see Eubank Jr"

            Hahahahahahahahahaha...****head

"Let's wait and see what happens with Jacobs, Canelo and Saunders"

You've been doing this for years!!!!

"Lara needs to prove himself at MW"

Canelo does too. Rosado did too.

"If Lara really wanted the fight, he would campaign at MW and fight a top 10 guy"

What does beating Dominic Wade prove?

"Lara is too small. He might get hurt"

Dominic Wade was a ****ing prospect and he's doing just fine.

So how about, we stop with the lame excuses, and embrace the fact that GGG can finally get a fight with a decent caliber opponent?
This is the beginning of this thread.

            There is no backlash.

No boxing fans call it moving effectively and ask if a fighter can deal with movement. Casual trolls call it running because they are upset that the guys they like are plodders that never learned basics like cutting off the ring.

I agree that GGG has the tools and skills to destroy and dominate Lara. Lara though has a way to beat GGG, no matter how much GGG fans pretend otherwise-boxing using his 5 inch reach advantage and moving trying to tire GGG out, then winning the late rounds.

If GGG can't deal with that, it's on him.

He has no history of doing that. He made $1 million vs. Canelo which is less than James Kirkland. Why are we creating barriers that don't exist?

We arent. It just stands to reason that if he was getting $1million for the likes of Delvin Rodriguez and Jan Zaveck, he would expect considerably more to face someone like GGG.

Thats not "creating a barrier", its invoking common sense

And its not even a question of "is he worth it?", its a question of "does that revenue even exist at this point?"

Canelo is a 4 to ****ing 1 underdog!!!!!!!!!!! Vegas thinks he gets knocked the **** out too. Vegas thinks his only chance is to survive and exploit a weakness too. He's looked at as a feather in the cap on a resume too. He's never fought at 160. He's never fought a real MW. He basically drew with Lara. You guys have nothing.

So you don't want to see the fight because 3 internet trolls will say GGG "got exposed"

You dudes are unbelievable. If anyone's being exposed, it's a certain group of fans in this thread that just can't grasp the fact that some fans enjoy boxing to see good matchups as opposed to just being a fanboy or a hater of one dude.

Because GGG fans like the mystique of "everyone is afraid" and when someone shows they arent it confuses them.
