And fúckin get real, Lara just had a fight where he lost 4-5 rounds against the #15 ranked contender at 154. Vanes is game, but he is obviously not very skilled.

Gennady would destroy Lara. Destroy him. Total waste of a saturday night, and what would it change? All we'd hear is "When is Gennady gonna fight someone who can test him?" or "Ward!! Fight Ward and prove yourself." gtfoh. Because the only way to prove you're the best middleweight is by beating the best super middleweight? That's some airtight logic right there.

Actually Lara did call out Golovkin in the interview right after the fight he mentioned his name twice I believe, but that moron of a translator didnt mention his name when he translated what Lara said.

if you're a 154 pounder, you should not have a problem fighting 160 pounders since the two divisions are basically the same.

I think most people are cool with the Lara fight at this point, but see it as behind Saunders, Canelo and Jacobs (and possibly Eubank, though I'm iffy about this one myself) in terms of priority - and then of course GGG has mandos to keep up with as well. It's not so much that he shouldn't fight Lara as that Erislandy ain't really at the front of the queue. That said if there's no Canelo, Saunders or Jacobs for September - as is looking increasingly likely - then Erislandy is about the best option IMO.

If we use logic, GGG should prioritize his opponents as those having 160lb belts first, then if he can't land of those guys, then he should open it up to others. Lara can get it if no one else steps up.

Lra isn't the only one calling him out right now: Zurdo Ramirez did it... Saunders and Eubank Jr. did it.

Team GGG said that (if the Canelo fight falls through) they are waiting for WBA to rule on Jacobs until they go elsewhere... They also mentioned Ramirez as a possible opponent for later this year...
... Therefore they still have in mind a fight for this summer and/or fall.
