No one is saying that Jacobs should accommodate Golovkin except maybe the WBA when they name Jacobs as the Mandatory Challenger. He needs tune ups? Fine then vacate the the regular WBA belt and use his tune ups to work his way up to being mandatory again.

Golovkin was Canelos mandated opponent by the WBC earned by becoming the Mandatory Challenger to the WBC title. That was before Alvarez surrendered his belt. Its been a week and K2 or Golovkin haven't mentioned Canelo. I don't get how you do not understand any of this?

It's not about rose tinted glasses its about Logic.

Rozier never said Jacobs needs 2 tune up fights. He was quoted as saying
"I thought we'd have two really nice fights after Quillin"

Really should of been more active to be honest. WBA said they will make an announcement this week which means he has 4 months to get ready.

I think that sitting at home for as long as he has will come back and bite him in the butt. But that is more on his management than it is on him.

I've only been here since January and I've learned it's practically hopeless to reason with some people about GGG. I've never come across a boxer like him in the extremes he generates in boxing fans. Some people absolutely detect and hate him, and come up with these illogical and twisted positions to defend anyone but GGG.

The best example is Canelo dropping the belt, and Liam Smiths camp (the weakest 154 belt holder!) confirming that Canelo had begun negotiations with them. The duck Canelo just committed was the biggest since Bowe, but so many delusional idiots are completely unable to accept or agree that GGG is the bogeyman of the division and that everyone is avoiding him.

Honestly, the other day someone was trying to tell me that Mayweather's and Jacobs had more KOs in fights than Golovkin. I came back with the facts and figures (May had 3 by pure KO, Jacobs had 8, GGG had 13) and the guy goes silent.

Honestly, if you hate a boxer so much that you can't even face reality, there's something mentally wrong with you, but there are so many of these ******ed bum boys who are defending the actions of Canelo - one of the best boxers in the world, and currently Jacobs, too.

How simple can it be? These people are world champions, mandatory opponents to GGG. They shouldn't be surprised when it turns out they have to fight him, they should want or even need to fight him. Instead it's excuse after excuse - if Jacobs does avoid Golovkin, that'll be 3 confirmed ducks this year alone - Johnson, Canelo, Jacobs, and potentially 4 if BJS does the same. I don't understand how anyone can defend these boxers for avoiding GGG.

I get tired of trying to be the voice of reason. They bring up Lara and how he was robbed against Canelo (Even though he (Lara) took his foot off the gas for 6 rounds). Yet call Murray a bum yet he was robbed against Martinez. They bring up the resumes, and Wade (mandatory fight), Monroe (after Martinez ducked him), Rosado (After Geale and Strum ducked him) yes they are not the biggest names but their are mitigating factors. Yet Canelo gets all the praise in the world for beating Angulo, Kirkland and Khan. And why? Because he fought he fought Mayweather and over the hill Moseley and a over the hill and broken Cotto?

Anyways they are entitled to their opinions even if they are wrong.

If you are a world champion, you are not green and you shouldn't need tuneups and you shouldn't need to "let a fight marinate."

All of this crap about fighting on my terms in my time is bullsh..t! I am including Golovkin in that assessment because he refused to fight Andre Ward at 168, but was willing to fight Froch and Chavez at 168. None of the boxers fighting today are worth a damn!
              The TBE laid the foundation.

Little Nelo has been surpassing the master.

5 catchweight fighs in a row, that's just an helluva performance.

Honnestly, the hate towards GGG is strong on the board.

They have to bring up Lara and Ward, fighters from others divisions.

Divisions where GGG never had a single fight.

The fights making sense for GGG are Nelo, Jacobs and Saunders, then maybe Eubank Jr (Lara would be OK and a tough fight).

I wouldn't accept another Wade, as a fan of boxing(so somehow of GGG) I'm getting bored, I want the guy to be challenged, loss or win.

BTW, Ward only wanted 1 tuneup for Golovkin, which is kinda understandable considering the fact that he had been inactive for 18 months..... Ward contacted Team Bull**** immediately after the Smith fight.

After that, he wanted 2 fights to adapt to 175.

" 3 tune ups " never happened, you made that up.

It has nothing to do with HBO and Kathy Duva being confident. It has to do with Kovalev not having a fan base or draw. Which personally I don't get because he is a great fighter. But for him, other than Stevenson, Ward is the only big fight where he might be able to make some decent money. Kovalev didn't want 3 tune up fights, Ward did. But because he has no clout, he had to take the deal he was offered...even if it was over a year in advance.

                    LMAO

Seriously, could you spurt out that truckload of excuses any faster ?

What a load of pre-owned rubbish.

And btw, Ward never even considered Kovalev until Team Bull**** refused Roc nation's offer in "25 minutes flat"..... saying "maybe 2017".

                    That is well-documented.
