Jacobs should just pay Lara to take that mando spot. Everybody wins

What a ridiculous response. First of all, Ward moved up because he wasn't making weight anymore, not bc he was some heroic boxing god. Not to mention he will have had THREE "tune-up fights" before facing anyone good (Kovalev). His offer to fight Golovkin came after Golovkin's unification fight was announced, and then he was the mandatory to fight Canelo, had he manned up. In addition Ward's bull**** offer to Golovkin was to fight at the end of 2016 with a 50/50 purse split. Who makes fights a year in advance with someone two weight classes up and a determined purse split? So yes, they responded to a ridiculous offer with the correct response...lets talk in 2017.Golovkin told Ward, maybe in 2017. .Golovkin doesn't deserve a big fight.
I like Ward as a fighter, but that offer was nonsense.Comment

I got nothing out if this "interview". It was mostly just questions and no answers with more questions. Almost like some dude talked to himself in the mirror and answered his own questions in 3rd partyNo he wasn't asked that. We don't know what question Rozier was asked. I have no idea what he was asked. This is what frustrates me about these articles. There is no context. A Q&A should state the person asking the question and the person asking.
Example
Steve Kim: Will Jacobs be ready for GGG if the WBA mandates it?
Rozier: Well we need two tune up fights
Or if you don't want to do the Q&A format you can state the question after the answer
Example:
"I thought we'd have two really nice fights after Quillin", said Rozier when asked if Jacobs was ready to face GGG next
But instead it went like this
"I thought we'd have two really nice fights after Quillin", said Rozier who trained Curtis Stevens for his fight against GGG
The line they used
So if that's the case, is Jacobs ready to face Golovkin
Is a rhetorical question to the statement they wrote above it. And the headline is horrible because nowhere in Roziers' comments did he say those words or even talk about delaying the fight if ordered.
I'm not a writer but I've been interviewed a couple of times. But like I said. I'll wait until Jake's story comes out because his stories are usually pretty clear cut and doesn't rely on the reader to come to a conclusionComment

Floyd Mayweather came off a 2.5 year layoff and beat the guy who KTFO Pacquaio a few fights later. A top contender or world champion should be ready to fight anyone in his division at any time. I need a few tuneups is code for I don't want the fight because I know I will lose.Rozier was asked if the guy was ready and said they would have been had Jacobs been given at least two fights since that quick win in December. Or else Jacobs has only 2 minutes in the ring since last August. And I hear his opponent in late June will not exactly be a world beater because of his inactivity. It wont be Andy LeeComment

Don't even bother with that dumb f@gg0t.What a ridiculous response. First of all, Ward moved up because he wasn't making weight anymore, not bc he was some heroic boxing god. All he does is cry about GGG and then play the race card.Comment

Steve Kim is very sneaky with the way he writes. Nowhere in that "interview" does is say 'we asked Mike Rozier, the trainer of Danny Jacob.....'Comment

Is that true? Well, I guess even after 32 fights, he still needs tune-ups to fight the champion GGG. If BJS doesn't want GGG next, then the GGG critics will get their wish when K2 pursues 168 champion Zurdo. Not a bad consolation prize.Rozier was asked if the guy was ready and said they would have been had Jacobs been given at least two fights since that quick win in December. Or else Jacobs has only 2 minutes in the ring since last August. And I hear his opponent in late June will not exactly be a world beater because of his inactivity. It wont be Andy LeeComment
