Brah, neither can the critics. Ho cuz, Ward himself went block the GGG bout from happening when he went sign that HBO contract...that one cannot be denied. I've already made this argument about Ward already...if he truly wanted the GGG fight, he could have stayed at 168...you can't tell me he cleaned out the division when Bute & DeGale have been calling him out for years now....go check DeGale's twitter page. And Lara is all talk...even his promoter admitted they never tried to contact K2 in good faith to make that bout possible. I'm not one of those GGG trolls that keep trying to say that Lara & Ward aren't big enough draws to get the fight. What I'm saying is that these guys could have taken steps a long time ago to all but ensure the bout happening. Instead, look at Lara's last 3 fights: 3 journeyman north of 35 years old. And look at all the opponents GGG critics want him to fight: they say Canelo, they say Jacobs, they say Ward, they say Lara, etc, etc, etc. What I'm saying as a boxing fan is that all these suggestions should get in line. If GGG wasn't such a big draw, then why is everyone either running scared or calling him out to generate buzz for themselves (i.e., Kell Brook)? What I try to do when critics refuse to see how good GGG is, I turn their argument right back on them...because, often, when criticizing GGG, their arguments are double-edged swords. Don't play me off like a fanboy. I know my boxing. Everyone get in line. GGG did it the right way by establishing his championship status through the rankings...which is pretty much how every boxer should do it. Yet, all of a sudden, when the guy starts get shine, everyone wants to hate him...not quite understanding that.
