Im not attacking Floyd. You asked when did Floyd demand a catch and I provided examples. I personally detest CWs, especially for fighters in the same weight class. I feel title fights should never be at a CW. The only time I support a CW is for fighters from 2 different divisions. Im not one of these guys that slam Floyd CW but support Manny CW. I am critical of both, and any fighter that manipulates the system by using CWs.

You are right. Saunders has no right to call Canelo a coward when he could have had a fight with GGG but he chickened out. Of all the top middleweights only Lemieux has earned the right to criticize Canelo for not fighting GGG.The rest of them, especially Saunders need to fight GGG if he is nobody to be afraid of. Only Eubanks seems willing to fight GGG and that may end up just being big talk.

I'm sure the fight will happen, considering this backlash. Canelo needs Golovkin, it's not as people state it. Unless Canelo wants to be hated like Mayweather, he won't get much love if he beats Golovkin after Golovkin looks like sht or has lost.

I respect and agree with your pov but Canelo is making his own weight division which is taking it too far in my opinion. I like Canelo he has skill, speed, power, with a iron chin and he is the A side over anyone in North America but if you fight Golovkin at least 157 cw not 155

I agree 100% on Canelo. He is making his own weight class, I call it super junior middleweight (154-156). He should either drop to 154 or jump to 160. Fight Lara again or one of the Charlo boys, or else move up and defend your Ring MW and Lineal MW titles against the real MW champ. Stop hiding at 155.

Canelo offered the catch weight you say? You need to get your facts straight. Canelo had offered a catchweight to Mayweather two years earlier when he was younger and lighter. When the Mayweather vs Canelo fight was being negotiated Canelo wanted to defend his title at the full 154 pounds and Mayweather wanted the fight at 147. They compromised at 152 because Mayweather refused to go an ounce heavier than that. Fighting at 152 was 100% Mayweather's doing and 0% Canelo's doing. You are trying to say Mayweather would have fought Canelo at 154 but Canelo insisted on a catchweight of 152. Yeah, that makes sense. Mayweather fought Oscar and Cotto at 154 but there was no way in hell he was going to fight Canelo at any weight above 152. Canelo protested and tried to get the fight at 154 but Mayweather said 152 or no fight.

He said they offered him 1 million lbs for the fight. There were reports of them offering $4 mil dollars. Maybe my math is rusty but I don't think 1 million lbs equal $4 mil dollars. Can somebody find an article with Loeffler confirming he offered BJS $4 mil dollars? I'll be waiting

Yes Canelo is the guy who ducked GGG. Correct.

If Canelo fights GGG this year then all is forgiven, win lose or draw and anyone calling him a coward looks like a foolish hater. Until he signs the contract to fight GGG he will be branded a coward by many. Oscar saying the fight will certainly happen down the road but it needs to marinate ain't going to cut it.
