    I wouldn't say that.

But what I would say is in another interview Tom Loeffler has gone on record saying there's major $$$ in the fight and they should be able to compensate Jacobs greatly.

Man, it's like some of you guys know more about how much money is available for this fight more than Tom Loeffler himself.

GGG and his team should NOT make any deal with Jacobs , let the WBA order a purse bid ... Now Saunders you have to do a deal with him he got the last belt you need

For $5M I doubt BJS and Jacobs would turn the fight down. HBO need to step up and back GGG.

If Saunders has to fight Khurtsidze as his mandatory for less than $500k, I think he'll be more reasonable to fight GGG.

Tom didn't say it in those exact words, but that's what I think he alluded to in the source I provided for you. He said (paraphrasing) if GGG vs La Pew could sell out the Garden, he can only imagine what GGG vs Jacobs would do and that it would be monstrous. I'm not sure that GGG vs La Pew was monstrous, but he's saying that the Jacobs fight will be.

Jacobs career high payday was $1.5 million vs Quillen..

Saunders career high I couldn't find on google any purses of his? I assume he made close to a million vs Lee and maybe even Eubanks?

IMO a $3 million purse for Jacobs is a fair deal

Saunders I'm not sure because I don't know what he made before but I'm guessing around $2.5-3 would also be a fair price for him...
It all depends on the staging of the fights:

-Golovkin(c) vs Billy Joe Saunders(c), in the UK, is a fight that you can take to the O2 Arena, do good local business with, air in primetime in the UK/Germany/Europe, and set for the matinee double on HBO (day/night re-air); can't really put a dollar amount on it, but it'd be fair for Saunders to get something like a 35/65 share on the fighter proceeds.

-Golovkin(C) vs Jacobs(c) in New York [Brooklyn's native son versus MSG's newest attraction] is a PPV fight, imo. Barclays Center and MSG both compete to host the fight, and the US TV operators also compete (UK/international money, at this point, likely just stays with K2). If Jacobs got $1.5m for the Quillin fight, and Golovkin got $2m for the Lemieux fight, Golovkin-Jacobs (a bigger fight) should start with the two guys splitting $5m.

With K2 seemingly unwilling to put the US TV rights on the open market, Jacobs' payout should also then include a premium for HBO being "the only option". $3m is reasonable enough, but I think the fight ends up being bigger than that (entitling Jacobs to upside on the event)

As for Jacobs being more known, that's heavily arguable. For example, Google disagrees with you:
                  Google Trends Lemieux vs. Jacobs

Jacobs' only chance is to hope that Golovkin can't fight off HBO, and basically blackmail him.
... how is that not leverage over Golovkin?

That's way beyond HBOs means, it basically a test of whether GGG can sell 350k ppvs by himself. Probably not yet, unless Canelo surrendered a ton fans with that belt

Was being sarcastic. Seriously though: This fight never happens because of the ****** HBO Showtime feud. Neither fighter will break contract nor should they.
