Champion vs interim is not 55/45

    The rules explicitly state this:

'that an Interim champion shall never be ... or be entitled to greater share of proceeds of any purse offer beyond that of a challenger'

Whats a challenger purse? The same Povetkin got against Wilder

30% of 90% of the total purse, +the extra 10% if he goes on to win

    Rule 3.22

But using the Hopkins formula, we should start the 'record' from when Golovkin was the sole WBA champion, which was after Rosado... so he has 11 'title defences' in the same vein as Hopkins
I can agree with your post the title defense thing has gotten more and more watered down

No, here's the full paragraph for you:

In its sole discretion, the WBC shall subsequently determine the timing and terms of any bout between a champion and Interim Champion to determine a sole champion in the division, provided, however, that an Interim Champion shall never be deemed a mandatory challenger, or entitled to greater share of proceeds of any purse offer beyond that of a challenger
Now i've corrected you, lets drop the 55/45 nonsense

Mexican television said Canelo turned down the 70-30 split Golovkin's team proposed. Shut up with the 55/45 split propaganda K2 knew that wasn't reasonable so they offered a reasonable split and CanelHO ducked.

It really is such a strange obsession. He chooses being handed belts on technicalities over daring to be great and fighting good fighters. You can call me a f@gg0t but here is billy joe Saunders summing up you and the rest of the gaynaughty g-g-gurgle group

Usually, the purse-bid split between a WBC champion and mandatory challenger is 70-30 in favor of the titleholder. However, when a WBC champ faces a WBC interim titleholder the split is 55-45.
                      http://******.craveonline.com/news/4...ay-mailbag-256

The bid amount is split between the fighters, generally a 55-45 split in the case of a WBC title fight between a titleholder and interim titlist.
                      http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/_...adline-looming

Dough Fischer and Fat Dan both saying the split is 55/45 for Champion vs Interim.
