Very much so. Froid could never be as out of shape as Toney and have the success he did. Even in his prime Toney was always uncommitted and weight drained.

you are trying really hard to minimize a fighters accomplishments while downplaying his opponents

Diego Corrales was an A level talent.....he wasnt a legend or an all time great, but for his era he was a great fighter and only lost to the best of his era.

A level is championship level.....he dominated b level guys like Derrick Gainer who also won titles, Robert Garcia

but went back and forth with A level guys like himself. When you can regularly beat A level guys, thats when ATG becomes part of the conversation

Corrales lost twice to Casamayor a two weight champion, JLC two time lightweight champion, PBF the best of the generation, and big azz Clottey who dwarfed him

I know you dont like floyd, but God rest his soul, Corrales was an A level fighter and was p4p to most people from the late 1990s until he lost to Casamayor the last time. thats over 5 years.

Corrales would compete with these guys and beat a few

you are just throwing names around
Dejesus fought in a much much tougher era than Coralles, an era where Corrales would never have been anywhere near a world title God rest his soul.

It's as clear as day on film that Esteban Dejesus is much better than Diago Coralles. If Dejesus was around in the late 90's he would've layed a path of destruction.

The greatness of the eras define the greatness of the fighters. Belts mean **** all.

        LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

What kind of argument is that? "Toney was out of shape and was still KIND of successful so he's better?"

        What?

no he did not....Carlos Ortiz was washed up and turned pro in the 50s. The was in transition from Ortiz era to Duran and no one seperated themselves.

Estaban de jesus throws wide punches and his chin is in the air.

He lost to every elite fight he fought and his claim to fame is beating duran in a stay busy catchweight fight

Corrales was beating world class fighters on a regular basis and I seriously doubt dejesus is going through the guantlet Corrales went through before he died without a loss.....3 fights with Casamayor, 2 with Castillo, Clottey at 147, and Freitas

esteban dejesus would have been lucky to even win a title in the early 2000s between 130-135....Mayweather, Casamayor, Corrales, Freitas and Castillo there.....stop trying to downplay how good these fighter were just to dsicredit floyd.....its obvious

Lol it wasn't me you challenged to the quiz. I'm just making a point about how its ironic that you claim to be some sort of boxing authority while the thread's topic itself is so flawed.

Yes Duran mauled Buchanan and always would but it's Duran were talking about. A top 5 ATG animal. The fact PRIME Duran had to nut shot Buchanan to stop him is a testament to Buchanans toughness. Even Duran is on record saying Ken B was the toughest he ever faced. Ken Buchanan is in the Hands of Stone movie btw.
Buchanan was a tough grinder of a fighter and I take nothing from him.

Boxing is some hundreds years old and everyone boxes with human body, i don't know from which kung fu temple you came here but every single thing human body is capable of for boxing is uncovered long ago before me and you.
                    You guys are jokes.

Once you understand the difference between the eras those boxers fought in then we can talk.

There is no way Castillo, Corrales or Freitas beats any version of Duran. Even in a none tile fight. De Jesus is the only boxer to beat Duran at his prime weight and he also gave Duran hell in the second fight as well btw, dropping him on his ass with a counter. Duran-Dejesus II is a great fight, you should watch it.
