Now they know Canelo the real Mexican fighter is not ****ing around.
Take this 70/30 155 or GTFO! Sacrifices MUST be made if you want to be great.

Reality has hit lil entitled boy in the face. Bow down b*tches.

If you are gonna accept the fight you'll accept the fight. And if Canelo was going to fight at 160 wouldn't he just fight at 160 with the belt?

Based on my assumption that the weight is the killer here I just don't see the point in continuing talks except for the public & media to look like Canelo's side tried to make it to lessen the blow of this f@ggotry.
it could also be the purse split. GGG and his team are probably looking to get more than what Canelo's team are willing to give and without the belt the pressure and timer are officially wiped from the negotiation table. This way Canelo's hand isn't forced into giving out more than what they think is deserved and no one can dictate the terms of the fight more so than Saul and his team, since all GGG wanted was the belt. Obviously that wasn't the case since GGG and his team are still planning to negotiate but they did fool a lot of people into believing it was all business at first.

There's still a possibility the fight gets made for this year but if not I'm sure they will roll around to it eventually and get it done soon enough. Don't you think Saul and his team are aware of the backlash they are about to receive after vacating? Especially if the fight isn't made anytime soon... Yeah, I'm sure they know. If a nobody like Lara was able to get a fight with Saul off of bad mouthing and having a small cluster of boxing hipsters talk smack about Saul ducking him, I'm sure Saul can hear the deafening cries of fans wanting him to step up and face GGG.

Without the belt, the 55/45 split and weight are not 'enforced'.

There going to have to be a bit of bend from Golovkin's team, I'm guessing on the financial side. He's not getting 45%, not a chance.

Exactly. That's why I think he did what he did. If the fight gets made at 160 and for this year, a bunch of people will look like fools for jumping the gun . Saul's and GGG's teams are still negotiating yet everyone is calling it a duck, how???? Both sides are still on going with their talks, it was more or less a move to cut out the bs and not get cornered into splitting the purse in a manner that Saul and his team didn't see fit.

That is great news for Willie Monroe and Dominic Wade, who are both eagerly awaiting their rematch.

Well Said! I always knew it wasn't going to go to a purse bid. Which looks like what K2 was wanting...55/45 split no way!!! It won't be at a CW. But GGG has to take 70/30 or no fight.
