All you morons defending this are defending everything that is wrong with the sport. Do the UFC "marinate" fights for 3 ****ing years? Do fighters suddenly decide to invent their own weight classes? No, the best fight the best with zero bull****. That's why UFC is taking boxing's fans.

Dude you tried to make it seem like everyone was avoiding Williams when Canelo tried to fight him and I told you the opposite. Of course he wouldn't mind fighting Williams when he wasn't at his best. Who avoided Williams after the Sergio KO? Please I would love to hear this one. Williams was avoided at 147 cause he was a big threat there that had zero upside, the same for 154 before the first Sergio fight which is why he had that fight at 160 against Andy Kolle.

I don't know why you are bringing up Ishida when I was talking about Williams as if I cared who GGG fought. My whole point was to laugh at the assumption that Williams was a killer when Canelo wanted to fight him which was not the case. You can go back to that time and see the threads where people were crapping all over that fight because Williams was clearly not the same fighter

I'm only approaching the matter the same way that I believe a selection committee would. With Mosley, they have to keep it in the context that he's a five time world champion over three weight divisions. Sure he has 9 losses in 60 pro fights. But those nine losses came at the hands of seven different fighters, six of which aren't that bad.

If selection committee's seriously dissected fighters opponents, then Marciano would have had his four best wins discredited. Louis, Walcott, Charles, and Moore were all faded champions when the Rock got a hold of them.

A much smaller PAC doesn't even get credit for Mosley and he dropped him and had him running for the first time ever a year earlier. Mosley was both done, and outsized at Sww where he never looked good. He even said he only goes up for the money.

Do you really think that Oscar will let Canelo to risk his career at 158 against Golovkin? They could have received an "yes" in about 5 minutes for such an offer.
Oscar doesn't let Canelo to fight GGG for the time being. Oscar didn't even let Canelo fight a legit middleweight two weeks ago.

They'll say "well, we'll fight him of course, but sometime down the line" and then wait until GGG gets involved in another big title fight and they will call him out at that moment -- like Ward did when GGG was chasing Cotto/Canelo in 2015... Then Oscar will call GGG a bluff... a.s.o.
