All those who took Canelo's side over Cotto must feel pretty embarrassed right now...

      Lol

Yes show GGG who the A side is. Canelo never wanted to fight for the belt Cotto had. Cotto is the one who decided to put up the belt.. Also, GGG said that he would go under 160 for a business fight. So if anyone stops this fight it's GGG.

Someone needs to make a vine of Canelo saying in mexico we dont **** around and that he will fight GGG right now, then cut to "Canelo vacates the belt"

Hmmm BS gift wrapped by GBP if ever I saw it.
They will eventually fight, but they want 2-3 more fights in between that way they can "marinate" the fight a little longer. With Canelo having the WBC he will be forced to fight GGG next which was why he vacated. He didn't want any deadlines preventing him from going with the plan which is to fight 2-3 more times before fight GGG. Pretty smart move by Canelo and GBP.

Let's hope he does for the sake of the sport and for his own sake. If he's done this to avoid the fight like some feel then I don't see how a Mexican fighter comes back from this.

If that isn't his intention he may have just left himself vulnerable in negotiations 'cause if they break down K2 and GGG now know its gonna look like its all on him no matter what happens around the table.

No prob, but really who can keep track of who is the champ these days? I only know that because I was one of the 97k suckers buying that David Lemiux match. I respect the "sweet science" but I was tempted to much by a potential phone booth fight with sluggers. Most of my friends are casuals so I thought it would entertaining for them. Not to be though.

Then why not vacate the belt after he beat Cotto? Why keep it and fight a mismatch with Khan? Then not fight GGG after?

This doesnt surprise me at all. I was hoping to see Alvarez-Golovkin this fall but expected this to happen. I believe Canelo is just posturing with his "still want to fight GGG" talk, and has no intention of fighting Gennady anytime in the near future. It is unfortunate that Canelo is still recognized as the Ring and Lineal champ, and that we dont get to see the fight.

Looks like we'll be seeing Golovkin-Jacobs in the near future, assuming Danny is willing to step in the ring.
