For example, even in females, look at Nicki Minaj or the Jenner sisters; many women want to have a body like Kim Kardashian. I just find it hard to believe when Minaj or Kylie claim that the changes they've gone through (or unbalanced body in Minaj's case) are natural. In Kylie's case, she eventually admitted that she injected fat into her lips, which by then had become the goal of a trend which had thousands of women making their lips swollen to be like her. Moreover, Kylie had sudden changes in the shape of her body, as well. She and Kendall were both lanky, and now all of a sudden Kylie is mirroring Kim's physique, while Kendall has remained lanky (perhaps not coincidentally, since she is a thriving model, which would call for this to remain the same). It doesn't take much to surmise that if Kylie's injecting her lips, injecting her posterior to be like Kim wouldn't be that far away. Think of the effect of that change on her admirers, as well.
I mean, okay, there's the chance that any one of these people and their changes could be natural. We don't know anything for sure. But, in my case, I have to go with my intuition that societal pressures are likely forcing people to modify their bodies in unnatural ways, all in order to fit an ideal mold. It makes no sense for me, and I believe it leads toward vast discrimination against many normal women and men, just because they don't fit into that mold. As more people cave to pressure, the bigger it becomes.
I respect both Tom Hardy and Will Smith; they're actually two of my favorite actors. I just named them as an example of sudden change that I found suspect. I feel it's important for everyone to remember that their skills are ultimately what set them apart. Tom Hardy has some serious English-speaking and accent skills, as any one of his movies will show. Will Smith is on a Leonardo Dicaprio level when it comes to the smoothness of his acting, but he can also switch it up for full-on drama at any given time. They're brilliant.
