Why canibalize a division when there's no need to? With Stevenson fighting 2-3 times a year, and Beterbiev still fit to fight 3-4 times a year, GYM could soon be in position where they're staging 5-7 massive events in Montreal with just their light heavyweights.
Massive events? You mean 5k attendance and 250k on Sho?

Top dogg could ko Stevenson but ima have to go with Stevenson on that one.

But more importantly I'll be going for Bad Chad to get back to the top. Even if it's brief get the glory back. Want to see him win so badly

Both Stevenson and Williams can ****, so this could be interesting for a couple rounds. Doubtful Williams wins, but Darnell Boone did stop Stevenson... he does have a weak chin. But I think with every recent Williams fight he's hit the canvas at least once. So we have a potential Rock Em Sock Em Robots type fun fight.

Dawson though... geez the guy needs to just let a trainer train him. No excuse for him being that hard-headed. All the talent in the world, pizzing it away because of his misplaced energy.

The equivalent would be K2 having BJS and like Danny Jacobs under contract but not putting them in with Golovkin.

What GYM is trying to do, and it's very obvious, is they're trying to milk Stevenson's reign. He's going to be 39 years old, he's been KOed before, but he's also the biggest name they have. So they're trying to keep him away from Beterbiev or someone like Alvarez for as long as possible until they see noticeable decline in his game. This matchup is further proof.
Great post! That's why I hope Williams whoops Stevenson's a$$. Alvarez did what he needed (Chilemba) to get Stevenson. Why does he have to fight Dawson?

Speak how you feel, Stevenson headlines shows that do good business (enough for his paydays to **** on every payday Kovalev has ever had, sans maybe the Pascal payday [and that's not all that definitive]), and Beterbiev is getting his first opportunity to headline a show next month.

Laugh about the attendance all you want, Stevenson's events draw money and Beterbiev may also be in position to draw money as well (Beterbiev will likely be named IBF mandatory in short order).
