Williams is going to get sparked. His sloppiness will bite him in the ass.

Dawson shouldn't even be close to fighting for a title, even if it is an interim belt. Thomas Williams is 3 fights away from quitting against Campillo and he has a horrendous defense being rocked and dropped in several fights. He's set up to get viciously KOed here.
It's funny how GYM has Beterbiev, Stevenson and Alvarez but never thinks about putting any of them against one another.
Why canibalize a division when there's no need to? With Stevenson fighting 2-3 times a year, and Beterbiev still fit to fight 3-4 times a year, GYM could soon be in position where they're staging 5-7 massive events in Montreal with just their light heavyweights.

Stevenson is basically irrelevant now, so I don't even care who he fights anymore. As for the matchup, and Williams...Sometimes with the PBC you have to jettison everything you know about a fighter and his record before he signed with PBC. You have to start at the point at which they started with PBC. Sort of like a new record once you enter the UFC. I have to treat it like that in order for it to make any sense to me.
So hey he got a nice KO on primetime TV- it made Top 10 of the week, and Top 10 of the month on ESPN. For people who saw that fight and are wondering what merits moving up in the PBC ranks, it might make perfect sense that he now he will now progress to fighting the PBC champ..fine by me, I;ll probably root for him too
