Not for the fight purse he doesn't. You aren't guaranteed your purse just by signing the contract.. you have to fulfil your obligations.

The fight actually has to happen in order to get paid for it. Neither fighter gets paid because the fight didn't happen - however Povetkin should be liable for any expenses on Wilder's side, as they are now wasted. I have literally no idea what jurisdiction the WBC has in this case, but i'm fairly sure the Russian courts won't be lenient with Wilder..

This seems about right to me. Ideally any costs wasted up to this point by Team Wilder should be compensated for, but I doubt it too. The fight purse won't/shouldn't be fought over behind the scenes because the contracts they signed provide for the fact that the fight needs to happen, which it hasn't, as you said.

This whole thing is a shame, it would have been another good night for HW boxing...I don't see how Wilder is to blame for any of this and people defending Povetkin are idiots. Doesn't matter to what extent, if the guy you are due to be fighting takes a test and it comes back dirty in some way, you damn sure make a scene about it...Why wouldn't you? Curious as to why some fans jump all over some guys for testing dirty and turn a cheek to others...Whatever fits the old fanboy agenda...Not fans of the sport...

That alone to me as well as his KO power went bye-bye to HIGHLY suspect he was cheating at some point. knowingly or un-knowingly.

Pac's KO power at higher weights is a COMPLETE MYTH. Go look at boxrec. As Pac went up in weight, his KO power went down. It's that simple. There was even a scientific look at his KO percentages in each weight class which proves the myth was nothing more than that.

I can't figure out WHY Wilder is getting the blame for the other guy failing his URINE test.They just found out days before the fight? He was suppose to fly to Russia Sunday.i wouldn't fight the guy either. That is not enough to retest Either. PLUS Povetkin has YET demanded then test his B Sample. He Guilty and we are ALL gonna find out here real soon.
