Povetkin never wanted to fight Wilder.

I wish boxing would decide if it wants to hold PED users accountable or not. It seems like as long as you are caught "out of season" (ie not on the day of the fight) you are good. The UFC has been doing 24/7/365 PED testing for almost a year now & if Francisco Vargas or Alexander Povetkin had been caught by their testing, even weeks or months before a fight, they would have been suspended for 6mos to a year probably.
I'd honestly be fine with either all PEDs all day or no PEDs 24/7/365, but this current system is highly flawed. Lets figure something out once & for all.Comment

Wilder was ready to give in to all accommodations for the challenger. Delay after delay. A controversial insistence on the fight being in Russia. And still, the man feels the need to take illegal substances to further his chances.
