This would have been a great fight..

Ggg is obviously way more skilled, but GGG would stand in front of pavlik, and Pavlik could land some bombs that ice ggg..

GGG is much more flat footed than the lateral moving Serg or hopkins

He took all of their punches. Taylor knocked down Froch too so Pavlik going down from him is explainable. This is about styles. GGG would beat Martinez because of styles.

Pavlik does 3g before the 6th and gets back to his favorite bar stool before it even cools off. Golovkin ain't hard to find unless you're a dwarf Canadian. Pavlik is longer with the better jab and those right hands would let Gennady and his fans know he had been lied to his whole career

Sometimes it's about styles, other times about levels

GGG hasn't had to fight going backwards from a bigger guy like that. He hasn't had to deal with constant pressure. He likes to fight at such a measured pace. Pavlik would have been all wrong for him.
Any other referee would've stopped Pavlik-Taylor 1 in the 2nd round.
Pavlik would be the one on the backfoot vs GGG

I hate when people on this sight create these mythical matchups. In every one of them, the fighter from the past is always superior to the fighters of today.

Pavlik got KO'd by drugs and alcohol and his own ******ity. There is no reason to talk about what he would have done had he faced GGG or any active boxer.

Historic fight if it were to happen.

Prime for prime, I'm not sure how it plays out.

It's very possible it plays out like Pavlik vs Miranda because I don't see GGG being able to move around the ring like Hopkins or Taylor.

And after GGG finshes beating Pavlik up and down the ring, you'll say GGG style was all wrong for Pavlik. Pavlik was a flash in the pan champion who is only known for disappointing his fans.

Sure he can beat up GGG between beers.

Haha only the same 5 GGG haters say Pavlik would have beaten GGG. So amusing to see. Poor Pavlik would have gotten retired by GGG.
