Pavlik would have knocked GGG out late.

Anybody else think Pavlik would have beaten the **** out of GGG? Eventhough Pavlik got tagged and rocked from time to time he never was knocked out.

GGG hasn't had to fight going backwards from a bigger guy like that. He hasn't had to deal with constant pressure. He likes to fight at such a measured pace. Pavlik would have been all wrong for him.

    Pavlik was incredibly basic.

Taylor should have stopped him, Golovkin would.

Lmao Pavlik... Bob Arum even mocked that guy, he is total piss!
He got beat up by a 45yo Bernard Hopkins, Golovkin would have brutalized him.

Pavlik was limited in many ways, but he was big, strong, his chin was rock solid and he was fearless... He would just take it to Golovkin like he had to Miranda, behind stiff straight punches. I don't think GGG can box on the back foot effectively enough and I don't think he could hurt Pavlik going backwards either.
Seems like Golovkin can take a good shot - so I don't know about KO, but my pick would be Pavlik by close decision in a war.
It would have to be that hungry Pavlik from Miranda and Taylor I fights tho.
Wouldn't make a difference, Pavlik would back up or get KOed.

Would've been a great fight. Both are big punchers with solid chins. Ggg would have to get inside and attack the body to slow him down, while the taller pavlik would have to use his long jab to set up power punches from the outside. Foty candidate but I would favor ggg to bust Kellys face up for a late tko win.

Golovkin fights at a fast pace for a guy his size. His amount of thrown punches is always high and he doesn't have stamina issues. He's no Cotto. Pavlik wouldn't get past GGG's jab and he would get murdered to the body and possibly stopped. Also GGG has great footwork and timing which would make the very basic Pavlik have to reset a lot.

No doubt Pav sparks him out. If weak ass boxcino champ Monroe was able to land. Imagine what happens when gg gets hit by a guy that actually has power
