Arent catchweights logical when two guys from different divisions want to fight each other?
So GGG is the best at 160, Ward is(was) the best at 168. The most logical way out to make this fight was to fight in the middle i.e 164. How is demanding 164 any wrong? Why would Ward deny it?
Look, at 160 its advantage to Golovkin, at 168 its advantage to Ward, at 164 its at 0 (neutral) with advantage to none, and GGG was confident he could beat Ward at zero point without having any unfair advantages, i.e p4p skill vs skill.
However, apparently Ward needed an advantage to even consider a fight with Golovkin, its a shame he think he can't beat GGG without having him at a physical disadvantage.
I know GGG said anyone from 154-168, and he can be considered wrong to demand 164 esp for Ward. Lets assume GGG knew he gets beaten at 168 (with adv to Ward), but then again if he knows he can beat him at neutral weight why didn't Ward think the same?
