Ward had a chance to fight GGG - at 168 - in 2013 but he wasn't ready for it. He still wasn't ready for it 2 fucking years later!

If Ward is so damn good, how come the contract he sent to Loeffler included a stipulation that he would need at least 1 more tune-up before facing Golovkin?

Why should the bigger man, who is P4P No1, according to his gullible fans, need tune-ups to fight a smaller man who would be moving up for him?

16 months now since Ward signed with Roc and he's still pissing around with tune-ups. Wake up, ffs!
So Loeffler would have been chasing Ward? You can't be serious. And he was the mando to fight the Canelo vs Cotto winner? Did he face Canelo his next fight? Obviously that mando didn't mean shyt.

Instead of facing bum ass Wade after beating Lemiux, he and his team could have worked out a deal with Ward and his team But you rather lil g face the Wades instead of the Wards of the world. Ward needs a tune up for lil g? He said he might take a few tune ups before taking a major high profile fight, he never said three before facing lil g don't twist shyt. Honestly lil g would be a tune up fight for Ward facing Kovalev anyway.

But you seem confident. PUT YOUR ACCOUNT UP THAT WARD WON'T FIGHT KOVALEV AT THE END OF THE YEAR. Your confident right? Put your account vs my account. If Ward doesn't fight Kovalev by the end of the year I forfeit my account if he does you have to give your account up? What's good?

    You trying to bet?

So what if he didn't feel confident of beating Ward @ 168? Nobody said Ward isn't a good fighter. The fights with Chavez, JR & Froch were potentially bigger money fights & easier wins. Ward hasn't done shit in 4 years, so while he thinks he's worth big dollars, Golovkin likely thinks he's the A side, since he's the MW champ, and has been active. Why should he fight on Ward's terms, because you want him to?

Lil g made two serious offers to go to 168. He and his team claim to be the best from 154-168. I can link several threads but you already know this. Man I don't get it. Who wants to see Broner stay at 135 and dominate that division? It sucks and everybody would demand he move up in weight. In 10 years from now if Crawford is still at 140 who would be proud of that? Especially if the division sucks like 160. We would ask Crawford to move up for better competition.

lil g is in a weak ass division, He has not moved up his entire career, Man up and fight better comp one weight class. Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, Mayweather, De La Hoya, Hopkins, Duran all had nuts to move up now look t them?

Pac is one of the most respected fighters. Lil g will be an after that if he keeps this bum chasing shyt up the first time he loses. Me and a lot of other people are the first who will call him a hype job and he is done

      • But GGG can't fight Ward or Kovalev at 175 while weighing 160?

Ward never intended fighting Golovkin because he knows he would lose. He won't fight Kovalev either, you can bank on that.
He did send him an offer, and Team Golovkin turned it down. I don't know why so many people on this site try to re-write history.

It's noted that Loeffler said that Golovkin would only go to 168 if it was worth the risk. They called out everyone from 154-168, and when a guy from 168 gave him a 50/50 split at 168 they rejected it and said "164 or no fight." That's from Golovkin's promoter, and Ward's promoter. The fight was rejected because Ward at 168 was too big of a risk for the money they stood to make.

Has Ward EVER sent Loeffler an offer saying he would fight Golovkin NEXT?

The answer to that is NO. The only offer he sent contained his usual bullshit tune-up clauses, and it covered the same time span as the contract GGG already had with the WBC.

Ward had his chance to fight GGG - at 168 - and he wasn't ready for it.

I repeat, I don't think he will ever be ready for either GGG or Kovalev.

Golovkin has said several times that he wants to unify the MW division. Once he does that, we'll see. If he wants to further his career, he'll move up & destroy the mythical Andre Ward, who will come back to 168 after Kovalev rearranges his mug...that is IF he actually fights him.

Did you just completely ignore the article I posted, showing that Roc Nation sent Loeffler an offer to fight Golovkin near the beginning of 2016, only for them to turn it down in less than an hour? The offer was 50-50 split at 168, and Loeffler HIMSELF says that Golovkin wouldn't fight Ward at 168 because the financial reward wasn't big enough.

They were supposed to fight once each (because Roc Nation knew that Golovkin was fighting Lemieux soon), and then they would fight next. Loeffler rejected it and said that 164 would be the only weight that the fight could happen at. You really are trying to rewrite history lol

                      Bullshit!

Ward claimed that the offer was sent months before GGG/Lemieux was signed and his lawyer actually threatened to sue Loeffler and Sanchez for calling him a liar over that.

Loeffler did not ask for a 164 catchweight after he got the offer. He rejected it without any negotiations at all and told Roc if they wanted the fight on those terms they should get back to him in 2017 after Ward had finished with his tune-ups and GGG had finished his business at 160.
