Why would Loeffler want to chase a fight with Andre Ward when Golovkin already had a unification fight with Lemieux signed and sealed, plus a contract from the WBC gauranteeing him a mando shot at their title against the winner of Cotto/Canelo?

Ward had a chance to fight GGG - at 168 - in 2013 but he wasn't ready for it. He still wasn't ready for it 2 fucking years later!

If Ward is so damn good, how come the contract he sent to Loeffler included a stipulation that he would need at least 1 more tune-up before facing Golovkin?

Why should the bigger man, who is P4P No1, according to his gullible fans, need tune-ups to fight a smaller man who would be moving up for him?

It's all about the best position. I'm not sure why you believe Golovkin should have jumped up 8lbs to fight Ward at his preferred weight. So what if he didn't feel confident of beating Ward @ 168? Nobody said Ward isn't a good fighter. The fights with Chavez, JR & Froch were potentially bigger money fights & easier wins. Ward hasn't done shit in 4 years, so while he thinks he's worth big dollars, Golovkin likely thinks he's the A side, since he's the MW champ, and has been active. Why should he fight on Ward's terms, because you want him to?

Lil g made two serious offers to go to 168. He and his team claim to be the best from 154-168. I can link several threads but you already know this. Man I don't get it. Who wants to see Broner stay at 135 and dominate that division? It sucks and everybody would demand he move up in weight. In 10 years from now if Crawford is still at 140 who would be proud of that? Especially if the division sucks like 160. We would ask Crawford to move up for better competition.

Golovkin has said several times that he wants to unify the MW division. Once he does that, we'll see. If he wants to further his career, he'll move up & destroy the mythical Andre Ward, who will come back to 168 after Kovalev rearranges his mug...that is IF he actually fights him.

The offer was 50-50 split at 168, and Loeffler HIMSELF says that Golovkin wouldn't fight Ward at 168 because the financial reward wasn't big enough.

Ward claimed that the offer was sent months before GGG/Lemieux was signed and his lawyer actually threatened to sue Loeffler and Sanchez for calling him a liar over that.

Loeffler did not ask for a 164 catchweight after he got the offer. He rejected it without any negotiations at all and told Roc if they wanted the fight on those terms they should get back to him in 2017 after Ward had finished with his tune-ups and GGG had finished his business at 160.
