Performance enhancing would be, you inject something that literally makes you gain 20lbs of muscle in 3 months without changing your regimen or diet.

Performance enhancing is like that ****** that's an MMA fighter knocking out legit females.

Performance enhancing SHOULD mean, the opponent has literally no chance, the advantage so significant and it's nowhere close to an even playing fields.

Pacquiao injecting cortizone should be considered "Performance enhancing" because (1) it's injected and (2) it numbs more than just the target pain. It makes you able to walk through punches without impact.

Notice in MayPac how Floyd was knocking Manny back, but when Bradley did it, Manny barely moved. Come on.

    I saw that. Don't care.

The problem is that the industry has clouded what "performance enhancing" means. It doesn't mean ANY enhancement. It means that it gives you too much of an advantage to give a fair fight.

That your blood flows more effectively, that you can breathe easier, that you can fight asthma, that you can see better...none of these are performance enhancing if prior to taking the drug, you were less than 100% to begin with. You're performance 'normalizing' at that point.

I was diagnosed with asthma as a kid. Had to carry an inhaler. When I hit my 20's I didn't need the inhaler, but now in my 30's I have mucus issues. Right now I use a vaporizer with a menthol and oil blend to manage it. No drugs, nothing. These are readily available from any drug store.

If I were in the ring against a guy who never had asthma or any sort of breathing disorder, and my manager was Panama Lewis and in round 8 he notices I'm having trouble breathing, and he yells "get me that thing I mixed!!" I take a puff, now I'm able to breathe and perform, how is that performance "enhancing"? It's not. It puts me back on an even playing field.

"Performance enhancing" means that you needed the drug to be superior to your opponent. Not that you took something to address a problem.

I'm all fine with banning TRUE PEDs - Anabolic steroids. Ban them all.

What I'm not fine with is banning silly crap like DMAE that doesn't really do anything to give you any sort of advantage.

Nearly 200 things banned. Of that list, roughly 10% are true PEDs. Just to put things in perspective. That means it's out of control and it's why we keep hearing nearly weekly that someone failed a test and usually for something ******.

Remember Nick Diaz and failing over weed? Come on man. WEED?
You're arguing for reform in what should/shouldn't be banned. That's not the issue at hand. He failed the test & now you wanna say it shouldn't have been banned in the first place. It doesn't work that way. And these organizations don't come to snap decisions when it comes to this. They study these drugs extensively and put them on a watch list before even making a decision. WADA didn't decide to ban this drug last September. They'd been considering and studying this for years. I'll take the word of highly educated & trained specialist over some random poster on a forum. Unless you can show me your years of education & studying the issue.

      • This drug increases your blood oxygen capabilities and therefore endurance. As a 220 lb man in a 12 rd fight how do you think having increased endurance would not enhance your performance?

Meldonium increases the size of blood vessels and therefore improves blood flow. In other words, it's an enhancer.
Just educating people that Meldonium is not like using testosterone/anabolic steroids.

What has my avatar to do with it? wot? you want to talk about Floyd's IV or sudden mucle mass gain in his late 30's? about his blood doping admitted by him? (cosmetic treatment doe, it's for my skin...)

          • It's been over 24 hrs & still no word from the WBC. This is ridiculous.

And also no word from Povetkin. Why hasn't he had a press conference to explain this?

As for the promoter claiming he stopped taking this last September, exactly how does he know that? Has he been within eyesight of Povetkin's every waking moment since then? That's the only way he could know.

Lennox Lewis managed just fine. Weight's got nothing to do with it. If you're out of shape you're out of shape.

I'm more than happy to see guys who get caught with anabolics get banned. They're scourge. If it's not anabolic, it's a waste of time and money banning over it.

How about this. Explain how weed enhances a person in a fight. I'll wait.

                  • Povetkin should say he misunderstood and thought he was buying a condominium -- which he thought was a jacket for birth control -- and ended up with meldonium instead.
