Meldonium is NOT "performance enhancing". DHEA is NOT "performance enhancing". Clenbuterol is NOT "performance enhancing".
Why are athletes taking them if they don't enhance performance? These are medically prescribed drugs (in most countries) with long-term health risks. Are all of these drugs placebos?

This forum would be a better place without posts and posters like this.

But as always, web traffic all.

That you have a blood or heart issue that causes your blood to flow with less regularity and consistency than someone perfectly healthy, if anything, puts you at a disadvantage without assistance.

Niacin and Yohimbe also regulate blood flow. They're not banned. But depending on your physiology, they can cause other issues. Still not banned.

I said before, the right blend of readily available natural products can have health benefits. They are NOT "performance enhancing", but they give you energy.

To this day I don't understand what problem the testing is really supposed to solve. There are no ingest-able drugs that will give any sort of super advantage. None. Any drugs that would give such an advantage are injected. Always. They're just banning anything that gets a minor buzz in the media. It's whack-a-mole.

Ok - fine. Ban any and all injections that are not designed to address a medical issue that requires it (i.e. insulin for diabetes). Enforce weight class ranges and do not allow fighters to do significant cuts or jumps in weight. One weight class at a time, up or down, from natural fighting weight. If you need pain meds, take whatever pain pills you want. No injection.

Look at Sugar Ray vs. Marvin Hagler. You can't tell me they weren't injecting something. There's no way to get those builds and have that punch resistance from something injested. That's straight up injection.

Stop banning things found in food FFS. It's making the sport and testing look like a joke if you're over-flagging guys.
Lotsa legit things I have questions & concerns about myself in this post.

Problem for Povetkin is he's in trouble now not some future date when some of the issues with the banned substances list are attended to & performance enhancing substances aren't demonized as much.

          • Was a little buzzed, but I thought I heard Farhood say something on the Showtime card last night that the WBC should have a say if the fight is a go or not sometime today.

“I have no doubt it’s a powerful performance-enhancing drug,” Conte said. “It’s a stamina benefit. You don’t get tired, you just keep rocking. You’d be like the Energizer Bunny during sparring.”

What's your point? By looking at your avatar and sig I am not surprised at all that you're trying to justify this.

Meldonium increases the size of blood vessels and therefore improves blood flow. In other words, it's an enhancer.

Of course its an enhancer. For those with heart conditions. Imagine how it would enhance a world class athlete

Because as I said, they do make you feel good and/or enhance something. But they're not "performance enhancing".

Performance enhancing would be, you inject something that literally makes you gain 20lbs of muscle in 3 months without changing your regimen or diet.

Performance enhancing is like that ****** that's an MMA fighter knocking out legit females.

Performance enhancing SHOULD mean, the opponent has literally no chance, the advantage so significant and it's nowhere close to an even playing fields.

Pacquiao injecting cortizone should be considered "Performance enhancing" because (1) it's injected and (2) it numbs more than just the target pain. It makes you able to walk through punches without impact.

Notice in MayPac how Floyd was knocking Manny back, but when Bradley did it, Manny barely moved. Come on.

                      I saw that. Don't care.

The problem is that the industry has clouded what "performance enhancing" means. It doesn't mean ANY enhancement. It means that it gives you too much of an advantage to give a fair fight.

That your blood flows more effectively, that you can breathe easier, that you can fight asthma, that you can see better...none of these are performance enhancing if prior to taking the drug, you were less than 100% to begin with. You're performance 'normalizing' at that point.

I was diagnosed with asthma as a kid. Had to carry an inhaler. When I hit my 20's I didn't need the inhaler, but now in my 30's I have mucus issues. Right now I use a vaporizer with a menthol and oil blend to manage it. No drugs, nothing. These are readily available from any drug store.

If I were in the ring against a guy who never had asthma or any sort of breathing disorder, and my manager was Panama Lewis and in round 8 he notices I'm having trouble breathing, and he yells "get me that thing I mixed!!" I take a puff, now I'm able to breathe and perform, how is that performance "enhancing"? It's not. It puts me back on an even playing field.

"Performance enhancing" means that you needed the drug to be superior to your opponent. Not that you took something to address a problem.

I'm all fine with banning TRUE PEDs - Anabolic steroids. Ban them all.

What I'm not fine with is banning silly crap like DMAE that doesn't really do anything to give you any sort of advantage.

Nearly 200 things banned. Of that list, roughly 10% are true PEDs. Just to put things in perspective. That means it's out of control and it's why we keep hearing nearly weekly that someone failed a test and usually for something ******.

Remember Nick Diaz and failing over weed? Come on man. WEED?
