He can simply say he took it before it was banned and it must have shown up just now. Some drugs you can test negative for and then test positive for as metabolites enter the body from stored fat cells. Start exercising heavily and long stored metabolites show up as fat breaks down.
Yeah he probably did take it after it was banned. Good luck proving it though. There is simply not enough present knowledge about he nature of this drug.
Earlier this week on a media teleconference to discuss the fight, DiBella was asked about the testing.
"Deontay's always said, a million times, he's never been hesitant to get involved in testing," DiBella said. "And we wanted testing to begin, frankly, before it did. But it began with what we believe is plenty of time to make sure that everything is on the up-and-up. There's been already a number of random tests of both athletes that have turned out negative. So we're not concerned about that as an issue. And the testing is being done by VADA and they've been very buttoned up and everything's been handled appropriately.
The problem with Povetkin's alleged story is that I'm also told Povetkin's 3 prior samples came back negative. #boxing #microdosing

You are wrong according to the same agency who tested him.
"It's that simple".

Ban drug testing
Drug testing should be banned from boxing before it destroys boxing along with the alphabet soup paper belt crooked sanctioning bodies. Browne/Chagaev was tarnished by drug testing garbage, that was the first and only good fight of the year so far. Now what was probably going to be the second good fight of year will be ruined by completely useless drug testing and the sanctioning monkeys. Do not pay the sanctioning fees and just fight. Fans couldn't care less about paper belt garbage.

If he just took it yesterday then screw him, he's cheating or too dumb to stay up to date with the rules.
But if its some trace amount of a fairly mild drug they just banned, it would be a real pity to cancel the fight.
Who makes the final decision? Can Wilder just understand the situation and say he doesn't care? Or is the whole thing auto-***ed?
