He knew it was banned, his cheating ass just kept doing it becuase he knew he wasnt as good without it.

If he really wanted to cheat he would try something less traceable. Getting caught for Meldonium , especially since the Sharapova bust, is beyond ******ed. His career is pretty much tainted now.

From a legal perspective, it was considered a legal supplement until this year. No more dirty than protein powder.

WADA has already issued positive test "amnesty" for athletes who took it before it was banned, so it's just a matter of whether they determine Povetkin took it before or after the ban.

So there's been a detectable amount in his system for 8 months......

lol it was a legal supplement for like the past 20 years and everyone was taking it and since WADA decided to ban it 5 months ago, it's now a danger to fighter's lives?

Regardless, he was using it to enhance his performance, increasing his blood flow and bringing more oxygen to his muscles

The drug has been banned in the US for a long time, and it was on the vada watch list. Most athletes travel to Latvia or Russia to get it

I don't know if Pov was taking it before the ban or after the ban, however it's still in his system, and it's on the ban list. Wilder should not have to face the guy until he tests clean

He did everything that was asked of him, took the fight in Russia and you guys are saying he never wanted it.

Povetkin is the real arsehole here, his wins after getting embarrassed by Wlad are all tainted now

As I said above: WADA announced the ban starting with January 2016, but they included the banned substance in their list in fall 2015... It seems that meldonium lasts pretty long time in the system, right?
