Not really arguing, but considering the bold..... Golovkin sold his PPV himself, nobody knew who Lemieux was..... and yet Khan is known, and they still only pulled 500k?

Canelo is definitely bigger than Golovkin, by a significant margin...... but maybe not the HUGE landslide that some folks thought.

This shows you that cotto pulls numbers we all know Floyd pulls numbers and canelo only got big ppv numbers because of two of the biggest draws in boxing your welcome canelo stop running from GGG

I knew canelo was not quite the boxing superstar Goldenboy made him out to be...smoke and mirrors to try and fool the boxing fan...the reason why I say that is canelo is not more popular than golovkin in the uk...where is pacquaio and mayweather are household names.

So now fate has dealt a lucky hand to us boxing fans because no more ****** A side talk and it needs to marinate talk from Oscar ....you've been rumbled son

          Underwhelming numbers.
I thought it would be at least 700k.

Sounds like you could be right.

But I can't help thinking that GBP are a little disappointed.

Canelo losing to floyd hurt his drawing power a little bit.

Floyd and manny had to beat a cash cow in oscar to become superstars.

                  Canelo needs that GGG fight.

It would be great for Crawford-Postol or Kovalev-Ward, but for the face of boxing fighting one of the bigger names in the sport (Khan), 460K is pretty terrible.
460k for the fights you mentioned would be like May vs Pac numbers in relation to who those guys are countrywide or internationally

Crawford-Postol if they get even the infamous 97k, that would be amazing imo, they are pretty much unknown

Ward-Kovalev I would see 150-200k as a great number since neither have been on PPV and they are only relatively popular. 460k would be beyond great, I imagine that would make a massive amount of profit for that card

460-500k is what guys like Trinidad was doing in his prime vs Vargas, Joppy, Hopkins, Mayorga, Winky, Jones. So that's not bad

                    Trinidad-DLH 1.4 m
                    Trinidad-Vargas 560k
                    Trinidad-Joppy 520k
                    Trinidad-B-Hop 475k
                    Trinidad-Wright 510k
                    Trinidad-Mayorga 470k
                    Trinidad-Jones 500k

Canelo's PPV power by himself is very comparable to Trinidad's PPV power. While Trinidad was more consistent 470-510k seller, Canelo has ranged from 300k to 2.2 million. Mayweather was to Canelo what DLH was to Trinidad. Trinidad has nothing to compare Canelo vs Cotto's 900k. But let's face it 460k for Khan, like who's Khan really? Joppy was in a much better position than Khan, more highly thought of, MW champion, legit ranked as #2 MW behind B-Hop because he was actually better than the other MW's unlike Khan who's ranked #2 at WW which makes no sense since he has 0 wins versus any of those WW's. So to do 460k with a guy like Khan, i'm not saying it's great, i'm just saying it's not terrible. Great to me would have been 600-650k
