Comments Thread For: Canelo-Khan PPV Buys: Multiple Sources Point To 460,000

Saul Canelo' Alvarez did exactly what most expected would be the case in the ring for his May 7 middleweight title defense versus Amir Khan in Las Vegas, Nevada. How well the pay-per-view telecast performed depends entirely on which source is to be trusted.

Good numbers I think Khan helped with some of those numbers too I'm sure but then again If it was a PPV in the UK they'd have got much better numbers I'm certain of that.

So 460k is Canelo best number that he pretty much drew alone compared to 150k of GGG in his first ever PPV, not too bad at all maybe a 60-40 or 65-35 in favour of Canelo will be enough to get it made.
I'm sure the numbers for GGG and Canelo will be much better than this.

GGG-Canelo would do at least 700,000.

This was basically Canelo on his own as everyone knew how it would end, but a proper big fight with two world class fighters will do much better.

Thought it would have at least do 720, this gives triple g a lil more negotiation power not much considerating he only did 100k with lemuix but a little none the less

Damn. Why is that fat **** Dan Rafael such a biased c*nt? This guy works for ESPN but constantly puts out propaganda in favor of Golden Boy and Top Rank.

What the **** is his problem?

Well, well, well. Balls in your court now Oscar, so much for that million buys. Good numbers by any standard but i'm sure Delahoya went to HBO Promising them the world and this ain't a good start.

Can't help but feel skeptical since HBO is keeping a lid on it, maybe they'll release the numbers once the current GGG/Canelo negotiations conclude.
