As far as weekly or near-weekly cards, I have seen TONS of prospects fighting each other and even top fighters fighting each other on PBC and ShoBox cards and watched some fever pitched battles and upsets. This is where my excitement for boxing comes. And hearing the stories behind a fighter who has been through some tough situations to get to where he is. My excitement does not come from watching a no hoper get paid by Top Skank and Golden Crap to be a sacrificial lamb on national TV. I have no interest in watching some unbeaten prik with an attitude dance around the ring after stopping a guy who lost his last 3 fights by brutal KO's. Only fangirls like that sht. PBC is EXACTLY was boxing needed and respect to Al Haymon. He has NOT pitted countless prospects against no hopers! That type of glaringly obvious agenda belongs to the likes Oscar and Bob who have been feeding the boxing public crap on late night Saturday Univision and scattered FSB cards. I mean HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU WATCH A 15-0 fighter face a 15-6 NO HOPER???!!!!!!!

Sorry hearing the facts upset you. Last year this time when PBC announced their 2 year deal with ESPN said it would be a monthly series mainly fighting on Sat night prime time and that likely there would be 2 Shows that are on the big boy ABC network. Now in less then a year monthly series has been sc****d. It's been 8 months since the last ESPN card and when it does come back it will be for a 3 month span that's it for the year and it will be mainly only Friday and weekdays NOT Sat. And there will be ZERO shows on ABC. And instead of the big names we anticipated seeing on ESPN like you saw last year it's now prospects we see none of the Haymon top fighters.

Haymon promised Steak last year and instead is giving 3 day old hot dogs.

Exactly!!!! Haymon doesn't nurse little babies in the kiddie pool like other managers and promoters do. He doesn't let them have training wheels to begin with.

Its some silly fanboy type ****. No one in boxing is doing anything close, even with boxing capabilities in making big fights, to what the UFC is doing with consistently making the competitive fights at all levels. Everyone in boxing eases off the gas when big fights start getting talked about. No one has a monopoly on that ****.
HBO is ass. I've said so hundreds of times over the past 2 years. With that said, Crawford-Postol, Kovalev-Ward, and, potentially, Canelo-Golovkin will blow PBC out of the water. The thing that is infuriating is that it doesn't have to be that way. Thurman-Porter is great, but why stop there? It also sucks that the best matchups these days go to Showtime. I have Showtime, but I wish these fights were on free TV. DeGale-Bute, Jack-Bute, DeGale-Jack, Wilder-Povetkin, Jacobs-Quillin, LSC-Frampton, all these fights are top notch, but doesn't the fact that they are airing on Showtime defeat the purpose of PBC?

I hope fights that are on PPV would live up to people paying $60, $70 or whatever for them.

I don't know the plan Haymon has with PBC (& no one else does on this forum I don't believe) so no I don't see how showing fights on Showtime "defeats any purpose" we don't know that Haymon has or doesn't have with PBC.

I suspect with where boxing is at its questionable at best if you can maintain what Haymon is attempting without premium cable or PPV revenue (or some new/newer yet un- or under-established means of revenue besides a network TV deal) coming in at some point in the plan if not continually without taking more risk then a reasonable person would wanna take. And I like to think I'm smart, but not as smart as some Harvard graduate I'm assuming & I realize that.

Let's not start giving high fives and fist bumps just yet. A bunch of dates with only ONE card announced? Looks like a bunch of TBAs.
