You do realize there were multiple PBC cards on ESPN last year that pulled in 400k viewers right? 300k viewers on ESPN2 when they operated on like a 50k budget as opposed to PBC spending over 1mil in purses just for the A side headline fighters only to get moderately better ratings on the bigger ESPN channel is not a success. FNF was a series that delivered more fights and actually made money. But besides that my point is if PBC is only going to be a 3 month stint and not have many sat night fights why not keep FNF for the other 9 months of the year?

10 shows in 7 weeks...I like it. Is this supposed to be the full year of PBC ESPN fights or is this just the "summer" schedule as its being promoted & there will be a fall &/or winter schedule coming? Doesn't seem clear to me.Comment

I must've been typing when you wrote this. Hopefully its part of a new planning schedule to avoid unnecessary competition. I feel like the ones they do during major sport seasons should either lead in to the games or come on after them.Comment

Yet FNF draws almost double the ratings PBC is getting on FS1 or slightly less then the avg PBC is getting on Spike again all while operating on a budget a fraction of what PBC is spending.Comment

No there will be no fights in the fall/winter. According to the article on ESPN this is all the fight dates for PBC. It's not longer a monthly series.Comment

About damn time!!! ESPN season is supposed to start in January and run through August! Happy they packed July which is usually a slow month for the sportComment

LOL. I mean I disagree cuz I love all boxing on every channel to one degree or another, but yea FNF being talked about like it was HBO Boxing After Dark lite is some extremely revisionist history.
FNF was a bunch of club fighters vs each other or some prospects vs journeymen or unappealing or boring, but talented champions in lower weight divisions fighting low profile contenders & stuff on that sorta level. And I loved it for what it was. But now suddenly Keith Thurman vs Luis Collazo or Mares vs Santa Cruz are bs fights somehow lol okay.Comment
