There were International TV rights and for him to make up the difference in $2M and $6 mil (on the low end) Boxnation would've had to but the fight for $4mil, that's ridiculous. And even if they did (which they didn't) he'd still have to split the money with the promoter who owns the fight.
Canelo is gettin $2-$3 if the PPV sells over 500k. Khan, as the B-side, aint getting that deal. So if the fight does 500k that means Canelo gets $1.5mil. This article has it's numbers but the the totals are way off. I don't see how Canelo makes $15-20 mil when there is no PPV in Mexico so he has to rely on PPV in the U.S. It would have to do 3.5 mil buys for him to get $10 mil from the PPV.Comment

You're just repeating what you've been told and don't have any evidence to back it up. Think for yourself, stop believing everything you're told. It's funny how the number has dropped from $13 mil to $9 mil and now $6 mil. That should let you know right there that they were lying from the beginning. Canelo made $5 mil for his fight against Cotto and Cotto made $15 mil. That was down from initial reports of Canelo making as much as $8-$10 mil. He has a deal with TV Azteca but nobody knows the details of that deal. I see a lot of millions to be made up between what the fighters actually receive and what they're alleged to have made. Just like with the Pac-Bradley fight. Everybody kept claiming Pacquiao had a $20 mil guarantee with Top Rank but his guarantee for hat fight wasn't even $10 mil. Unless the meaning of the word guarantee has changed he doesn't have a $20 mil guarantee with Top Rank. People just repeat what they've been told and never bother to actually look to see if it makes sense.Comment
