Comments Thread For: Hearn: Khan Would Get More For Brook Than He Got For Canelo

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is amused with the recent comments from Amir Khan (31-4, 19KOs), who ruled out a potential fight with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs).

This is getting as sad as Khan sweating Floyd. Move on, there are lots of fights out there at 147 and 154 for you.

Khan reportedly made £9 million, the best case scenario last time out, from Hearn, was £5 million. If those numbers are true then Hearn will have to at least double his money. That is not happening.

Plus, why would Khan give up a possible Vegas date with Garcia?

Hearn is claiming on social media that Khan didn't make anywhere near 9 million on Saturday. Presumably he thinks Khan made less than 5 million, since that still seems to be his offer for Khan to fight Brook.

Forget about Khan. Look at Khan chasing Mayweather, where did it get him? Brook shouldn't make the same mistake.

Garcia - Khan won't generate as much money as Brook - Khan. A sold out Wembley fight trumps any fight in Vegas for any boxer whose name is not Pacquiao or Mayweather.

The Brook camp have no intention of being honest and honourable so they will make up any crap.... Khan is rightfully telling them to get lost.

Much of these comments have been taken slightly out of context. In between all this, Eddie was saying **** like "Kell's resume is too weak", "We're looking for stronger opposition, bigger fights" but in terms context, these comments were more "We have other targets in mind, but just cannot understand why he continues to avoid the fight. It makes no sense."

Hearn is full of ****. Khan just went ahead and made what Hearn claimed he could give Khan, but later retracted.

After Brook's poor timing of his tweet (seriously, who calls out the person who's just got got KO'd anyway?), there's little chance of Khan entertaining the idea. Money is even less of a motivator for him, seeing what he made the other night.

Brook should stop begging for it and fight someone good.
