Have you ever seen something like that before? I thought the split was standard according to their rules?

I see in the magic crystal ball....This going to purse bid, Canelo vacating, Oscar shouting about how delusional K2, Loeffler, and Golovkin are and how they turned down their offers, all offers including letting golovkin come in at 160. How they had every actual intention of making the fight and that Canelo will be fighting David Lemule next to prove he's not scared to fight at 160.

That sounds very plausible actually. Unfortunate, but very plausible

He is not fighting Lemieux, that fight is too dangerous. Oscar will be sitting on his phone the next two weeks, trying to

1.) get another weak undersized opponent for Canelo with a name (Pacquiao, Cotto 2, maybe Garcia, Bradley?)

2.) put a ton of demands on GGG (80/20 split, 156 lb, huge ring, special gloves etc)

3.) If both not work, he will work on trying to get another interim fight against a weak beatable MW (Rosado, Macklin etc) and delay the GGG fight to next year.

4.) last thing to do is actually tring to make the GGG fight and make it fair and square @160 with a purse split of 65/35 for Canelo.

Fighting Lemieux before facing GGG could be a disaster, he could get knocked out and then all that money is basically gone.

Canelo fighting Lemieux before GGG would be a cop out. I don't believe Canelo is afraid to fight GGG. Its just his promoters, namely DelaHoya, who will attempt to dodge GGG. After seeing what GGG did to Lemieux I don't think there's a fighter in the division that could beat him. Canelo if he does fight Lemieux might be getting more than he bargained for. As far as an interim fight for GGG goes, anyone that gets in there with him provides entertainment. Just love watching him do his thing.

Don't be surprised if they actually try to get david down to like 157 to say "well david was willing". I agree he's a dangerous fighter for Canelo but I think David also has a lot of holes that benefits Canelo's work to the body. David is looking for money right now and I don't blame him. The possibilities in match ups for him are just as risky as they are for Canelo within that 6 pound range.

Dude at this point I wouldn't be surprised to see Oscar offer anyone at this point more money than they are worth to change the topic of conversation. I straight up think they will vacate with the focus being on smudging up the facts of why the fight wasn't actually made. Oscar may be dumb with his addictions and his women but he knows perception is reality to boxing fans regardless of whether the facts are easy to find because quite frankly look at all the folks talking about Lara and Golovkin when Lara has done nothing but mention his name.
