This is where I stopped reading. Ward-Kovalev is one of the most important fights in boxing at the moment.Comment

Funny to me that a lot of people talking **** here could'nt even name 5 top cruisers without looking it up. It is a talented division and at some point maybe he will move up, but what is the point right now? He has plenty of work to do at LHW. Assuming fights could get made and he keeps winning. He has a couple of years of fights still.Comment

People keep saying this & while I don't think a couple more fights is gonna be bad for Beterbiev by any means I think he gots that ****** power that is gonna largely decide his fights with the top guys & there won't be much difference in results if the fight took place next month or next year. It'll just be a lil harder or a lil easier for his opponent if Beterbiev were to lose.
But I'd like to Beterbiev vs Oleskandr vs Bivol and see the emergence of the best prospect in the next year or 2..Comment

Never in my two decades as a fight fan have I seen a fanbase as scared ****less for their favs to step up and fight people that they MIGHT not be favored to beat. Y'all ****** fux are scared for Kovalev to step up to cruiserweight. That's funny considering pretty much every great light heavyweight in history has stepped up and tried their luck at heavyweight. The same way y'all are scared for GGG to move up. Yet, y'all same delusional assh0les want Floyd and Ward to move up and fight GGG and Kovalev. Y'all are some pathetic excuses for fight fans, to say the least.
That said, after Canelo and Jacobs, I wouldn't mind seeing GGG move up.Comment

If Kovalev manages to beat Ward and beterbiev and collect the WBC trinket I'd absolutely love to see him try his hand at cruiserweight. I think he'd be fine there and honestly could see him do work and collect a few belts. I also feel he'll suffer his first defeat. But he's very capable.Comment

Bivol seems further down the ladder still. And isn't Usyk at 200lbs?Comment

Kovalev doesn't need to move up. Light heavyweight division is stacked.
It's gonna be between these 4; Kovalev, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, and Ward.
The way I been looking at it, Gvozdyk is the real scary one. He knocked Mohameddi out sooner and more brutally than KovalevComment

I meant oleksandr gvozdyk(I had to google for his last name).. they have the same first name.. lol.. But Bivol man, watch out for this kid, he is quite a talent.. solid jab, rangy & has inside work too, & a solid right hand. isn't a 1 punch wonder but well-rounded. Bivol is a year behind the other guys in experience(Beterbiev or gvozdyk) but imo he is on par with them..
It's Gvozdyk and Beterbiev that will cause troubleComment

Surely the KO of the year..
Also, whoever wins or lose (if its a close match) then surely there should a rematch between Ward & Kovalev.. so we are guaranteed a stacked LHW next 2 yrsComment
