Khan stuck to his words, said he wasn't going to run. End results; he got brutally KO'd.

People add on to Khan's delusions, Kellerman especially with the "You were boxing a terrific fight before the knock out", that's a full on lie, then you have the Boxnation commentators and most of the idiots in this thread. It's no wonder Khan can't improve. The people around him keep feeding him the wrong stuff or they don't check him.

Canelo had him figured in the 3rd round, it was only a matter of time from then on as you started to see Canelo was on a different level. It's hardly any different from Garcia who was slowly timing Khan by the second round. Khan has no upperbody movement, doesn't know how to fight going backwards and he freezes up when punches come his way which is actually what newbies do when they start learning how to box. If a shitty guard and movement is your only means of defending, then your never gonna win at this level.

I'm speaking from the heart in saying this but he needs to retire now before it gets real ugly for him.

          Absolutely spot on.

The slight shifts in momentum often go over your average viewer's head. Canelo was also working the body well and manipulated Khan's "defense" to his liking in the last 2 rounds. He doesn't have a straight forward rythm so he can easily confuse his opponents, add the fact that he has a rather wide array of punch variation and feints and you have a good fighter. Amir was all flash, fast hands and good combinations but once Canelo figured out his range... It was a matter of playing the wait game.

My wife thought Khan died, lol. Respect for having the balls to get in the ring, knowing what the likely outcome would be. Props to Saul for finishing the fight. He did what he was supposed to do. I don't think his stock has dropped. It would have, had the fight gone 12.

Excuses and more excuses for Khan. He can do well for 11 rounds but if you can't finish the fight on your feet and win all that good work is meaningless.
